Prime Video announced the leads for Things We Never Got Over, the series adaptation of Lucy Score’s bestselling novel. Molly Griggs is cast as twin sisters “Naomi Witt” and “Tina Witt”, Matthew Noszka is cast as “Knox Morgan,” and Tommy Martinez is cast as “Nash Morgan.” When runaway bride Naomi Witt (Griggs) arrives in the quirky town of Knockemout, Virginia, she expects to rescue her estranged twin (Griggs) and return to the life she left behind. Instead, her sister disappears, leaving Naomi with a niece she never knew existed, a town full of irresistible characters – including charming local sheriff Nash Morgan (Martinez) and his decidedly grumpy but infuriatingly sexy brother Knox Morgan (Noszka) – and a future she never imagined.

Snoop Dogg will host the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards as the show returns to the West Coast for the first time since 2017. Live from Los Angeles, the VMAs will air on Sunday, Sept. 27 (7:30-9:30 PM, ET/4:30-6:30 PM, PT) on the CBS Television Network, simulcast on MTV and streaming on Paramount+ (Premium) in the U.S. The show will also be available globally the next day on Paramount+ and MTV.

The Country Music Association has announced nominees for “The 60th Annual CMA Awards,” recognizing the artists, songwriters, producers, mix engineers, musicians and music video directors whose work has defined country music throughout the last year. Nominees are determined by CMA’s 7,083 voting-eligible professional members, spanning every corner of the country music landscape. Ella Langley tops the list with nine nominations, while other top nominees include Miranda Lambert with seven nominations, Kacey Musgraves and Ben West with five nominations each, Cody Johnson, Chris Stapleton and Stephen Wilson Jr. with four nominations each, and Dave Clauss, Luke Combs and Lainey Wilson with three nominations each. Vying for the night’s highest honor, CMA Entertainer of the Year, are Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, Ella Langley, Chris Stapleton and Lainey Wilson. “The 60th Annual CMA Awards” broadcasts live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena Wednesday, Nov. 18 (8:00-11:00 p.m. EST), on ABC and Disney+ and next day on Hulu.
HBO will premiere Oh, Mary! in 2027. Starring and written by Cole Escola, the film will star the following actors reprising their roles: Escola as Mary Todd Lincoln, Giles Terera as Mary’s Husband, Bianca Leigh as Mary’s Chaperone, Tony Macht as Mary’s Husband’s Assistant, and Michael Urie as Mary’s Teacher. The special is the filmed version of the July 28, 2026 performance that took place at the Trafalgar Theatre in London’s West End. The play is a dark comedy about a miserable, suffocated Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln’s assassination. Unrequited yearning, alcoholism, and suppressed desires abound in this 80-minute, one-act play that finally examines the forgotten life and dreams of Mrs. Lincoln, through the lens of an idiot (playwright Cole Escola).
