When they get home, her father confesses that he lied. He shut his mother out of their lives after she promised his wife would survive her illness, but was wrong. Up until then, he’d had faith in her abilities but couldn’t be around her after his wife passed. He wants to run when he hears the wraith is coming, but when his daughter goes upstairs to pack, the wraith is there and takes her.

Missouri’s son is a little bit more like his mom than I thought, because he uses magic to find his daughter. The wraith has decided to keep the girl because Missouri was the tastiest psychic he’d ever snacked on. Gross and rude. But again, Dean, Jody, and Missouri’s son show up and stop the wraith. He runs off, and while Dean looks for him, the wraith circles back, wrist spikes Missouri’s son in the throat, tussles with Jody and stabs her to death, and then takes Dean off guard, stabbing him multiple times. I. Am. Distraught. Again! I am now furiously screaming & grieving my husband when we realize it was another vision. Whew.

As it all plays out again, she is infuriatingly slow to act on it, and nearly lets everyone die again. I wanted to wrist spike her my damn self, putting my baby at risk like that! Anyways, all’s well that ends well because she warned them just in time to get the upper hand and kill the wraith. After Dean suggests she live a normal life and forget about her powers, Jody tells her to be who she is, whatever that is. She offers to be there if she ever needs her. Wayward Sisters, anyone??

Back at the bunker, Dean fills Sam in on what happened with Missouri. After, Sam confronts Dean about how he’s treated Jack and the effect it’s having on him. He compares Jack’s situation to his own demon blood drinking days, but Dean insists that it’s not the same because Sam deserved to be saved. He explodes, saying they lost everyone because of Jack. He even accuses Sam of lying to himself and pretending to care about Jack because of what he thinks Jack can do for them. He’s harsh and cruel and Jack heard everything.

I’m heartbroken for Dean, who is struggling with so many recent losses, drowning his grief in booze and anger. I’m heartbroken for Sam, who desperately needs to believe in this kid, as if to affirm he was also worthy of saving. And I’m heartbroken for Jack, who never asked to be born or to have these powers.

But then Dean claims that Jack manipulated Cas by promising paradise before Cas was killed. Jack looks struck, then his eyes begin to glow as he whispers Castiel’s name! In what appears to be a void of unlimited darkness and emptiness, Castiel lies unconscious until Jack’s voice wakes him up.

Is Castiel coming back to us? Will Sam be able to convince Dean of Jack’s goodness before Dean’s cold rejection turns Jack into the monster he fears?
