‘On My Block’ Renewed for Season Two at Netflix

The Freeridge squad lives on! Netflix announced today it has renewed freshman series On My Block for a second season.

Season one has received rave reviews from critics and currently holds a 93% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes with a consensus stating, “Charming, realistic, and focused on underrepresented communities, On My Block is the respite from stylized teen dramas you didn’t know you needed.”

On My Block, co-created by Lauren Iungerich (Awkward), Eddie Gonzalez & Jeremy Haft, is a coming of age comedy about four bright and street-savvy friends navigating their way through the triumph, pain and the newness of high-school set in LA’s South Central neighborhood.

A premiere date for the second season has yet to be announced.
