The results of the TV Source Magazine Soap Opera Pulse Poll are in! Your votes determined the top soap stars and couples for the week of October 1, 2018. Days of our Lives stars hit a triple crown holding top actor spots and #1 couple; a Bold and Beautiful actress tops #1 for the first time.

The Rundown

  • 39,176 total votes were cast during the voting period.
  • The Bold and the Beautiful’s Jacqueline MacInnes Wood rockets from #13 to #1 to dethrone last week’s chart topper, DAYS’ Victoria Konefal (#2).
  • DAYS’ Freddie Smith finally tops the actor chart for the first time, displacing DAYS’ Robert Scott Wilson (who falls to #3). 34 votes areseparating this week’s #2 Chandler Massey and Scott Wilson.
  • DAYS’ Will & Sonny hold onto #1 for the third non-consecutive week.
  • Freddie Smith and Chandler Massey holding #1 and #2 is no easy feat. As you may have noticed, if one part of a pairing charts, the other isn’t usually that far behind. For stars in same -sex pairings it’s a little difficult as fans tend to split the votes between (see Y&R’s Camryn Grimes and Cait Fairbanks).
  • With WilSon at #1 couple, Smith at #1 actor and Massey at #2, we’re considering this the equivalent of Pulse Poll triple crown — when stars in a pairing place #1 across the board.
  • B&B’s Thorsten Kaye also earns recognition, going from #12 to #5.
