‘Scream: Resurrection’ Coming to VH1 This July

Ghostface is slashing back to television next month. Scream: The TV Series, which previously aired two seasons on MTV, is returning for a third season on VH1. Scream: Resurrection will air two episodes per night of its six-episode season July 8 – 10 beginning at 9 PM.

Scream: Resurrection will serve as a reboot for the series and feature the return of the iconic Ghostface mask from the films and original voice actor, Roger Jackson.

Season 3 revolves around Deion Elliot (RJ Cyler), a local star running back whose tragic past comes back to haunt him at the worst time, threatening his hard-earned plans for his future — and the lives of his unlikely group of friends. Additional cast members include Mary J. Blige, Tyga, Keke Palmer, and Tyler Posey.

The series is executive produced by Queen Latifah, Shakim Compere and Yaneley Arty for Flavor Unit Entertainment. Brett Matthews (Vampire DiariesSupernatural) will serve as Showrunner and Executive Producer. Additional Executive Producers are Wes Craven, Tony DiSanto, Liz Gateley, Marianne Maddalena, and Cathy Konrad. Matthew Signer & Keith Levine are Producers. Maggie Malina and Dana Gotlieb-Carter are Executive Producers.
