It’s avocado season in California, but that won’t stop the legendary Kimberlin Brown from making a much-anticipated return to CBS’ The Bold and the Beautiful as the infamous Sheila Carter.

Brown last appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful in 2018. This go-around, Sheila’s return involves the nuptials of Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan). Last week while Finn’s parents are in town visiting, viewers learned that Steffy’s beau was adopted. This week fans learned a major spoiler revealed during a segment on Entertainment Tonight – Sheila is Finn’s biological mother!

In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Brown appeared to be excited about the upcoming storyline. “Especially because all the years that Sheila has been on the show, and I know she has other children, I’m finally going to get to act with one of them for more than just a little while,” said the actress. “Think about this, Sheila finally has a connection to the Forresters — through Steffy, whether she likes it or not.”

Sheila has been no stranger to rivals since her 1990 debut on The Young and the Restless. The woman who’s been on the receiving end of Sheila’s obsession the most has been Lauren Fenmore Baldwin. Will Sheila develop a new one on her biological son’s new bride? “I really thought she had changed the last time she was there. She was really trying to be a better person. There’s no doubt about that, and I don’t think that that has changed,” teases Brown. “But, even for people who have become better, in the face of society, when you have certain elements in life that refuse to acknowledge that betterment, you just hope you don’t slip back into some of your old ways.”

Put put Steffy in a prayer circle, stat!

Finn and Steffy’s two-day wedding event airs August 5-6. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS.
