Disney has released the first look and set a premiere date for their new series Doogie Kamealoha, M.D. for Disney+. The series is a reboot of Doogie Howser, M.D. which starred Neil Patrick Harris. The 10 episode season will debut September 8 with weekly episodes.

American Idol will see the return of its 3 judges and host next season,. Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie will be back along with Ryan Seacrest for the newest season. Season 5 of American Idol will return on ABC in early 2022.

OWN has released the first trailer for Season 6 of their series Queen Sugar. The season premiere is set for September 7 at 8 on OWN.

Law & Order: Organized Crime is adding Ron Cephas Jones and Vinnie Jones for recurring roles in season 2. Cephas Jones is set to play Congressman Leon Kilbride and Jones will portray Albi Briscu, an Eastern European gangster. Law & Order: Organized Crime returns to NBC Thursday September 23.

Matthew Willig who recurred as André the Giant on Season 1 of Young Rock has been promoted to series regular in Season 2. Willig appeared in about half of the first season’s episodes and his character struck up a close bond with Dwayne. The series returns for a holiday special episode and for Season 2 midseason. 

Another LEGO Star Wars holiday special is coming to Disney+. Friday October 1 will be the premiere date for LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales. Poe and BB-8 make an emergency landing on the volcanic planet Mustafar. While waiting for repairs, they are told three creepy stories linked to ancient artifacts and iconic villains from across all eras of Star Wars. The previous LEGO special on Disney+ was The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special.
