Netflix surprise released the first 4 episodes of the final season of Grace and Frankie. Season 7 was mid filming episode 5 of the 16 episode season as the pandemic took hold. Filming has since resumed on the rest of the 12 episodes with an eye on a 2022 release. Season 6 was released in January 2020. 

FX has ordered two new series from Ryan Murphy, further expanding the American Story franchise. American Sports Story and American Love Story will continue exploring stories in limited series as anthologies. American Sports Story will highlight sports figures each season, with the first season focused on NFL player Aaron Hernandez. The first season of American Love Story will focus on the relationship of John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette. 

American Horror Stories the anthology series spinoff of American Horror Story has been renewed for season 2 at FX. Each episode in the spinoff series is its own self contained story as opposed to the long form season long arcs of American Horror Story. 

Season 4 of American Crime Story will focus on Studio 54 and their co-founders, Steve Rubell and Ian Schrager. Studio 54: American Crime Story will follow the rise of the midtown Manhattan disco and the fall of Rubell and Schrager.

What We Do In The Shadows has been renewed for season 4 ahead of the series season 3 premiere. The FX vampire mockumentary returns for season 3 September 2. Season 4 will premiere in 2022.

FX has released a trailer for the upcoming B.J. Novak series, The Premise.The half-hour anthology comedy series will premiere September 16.

HBO Max is set to fix the issues with its app. The streamer is aware of the issues plaguing their apps on different devices and plan on rolling out a brand new app. The new app should arrive in the next few months with Roku and Playstation likely seeing the new app first.

Sam Reid has been tapped to play Lestat in AMC’s Interview With The Vampire series. The series based on Ann Rice’s book of the same name will begin production on the 8 episode first season later in the year and will premiere in 2022. 

Brandon Micheal Hall has been cast in a recurring role in the new series How I Met Your Father. He will play the role of a guy who Hilary Duff’s character matches with on Tinder. 

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City returns for Season 2 Sunday September 12 at 9. Bravo also released a first look at the new season.
