The main cast has been officially announced for Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender live adaptation. Gordon Cormier will play Aang. Kiawentiio will play Katara. Ian Ousley will play Sokka. Dallas Liu will play Zuko. 

Netflix has dated their Colin in Black & White limited series for October 29. The series is created by Ava DuVernay and Colin Kaepernick. It follows a younger Kaepernick coming of age as a black adopted child in a white family in Central California and how it influenced the man he is today.

Gossip Girl is set to return to HBO Max in November with the final 6 episodes of the first season. A specific premiere date will be announced at a later date. The first 6 episodes are available to stream on HBO Max now. 

Animated comedy series Q-Force premieres Thursday, September 2 on Netflix. The first full trailer is out. 

Nickelodeon has set The Smurfs CG revival series premiere date for Friday September 10. The first trailer for the series is out now. 

Billy Zane has joined the cast of MacGruber in a recasting. Mickey Rourke originally was cast in the role, but exited the project. The eight episode Peacock series is based off of the sketch on Saturday Night Live.

Filming on Amazon’s Lord of the Rings series will be moving from New Zealand to the United Kingdom in season 2. Filming on the new season is expected to begin in 2022. The premiere date for the first season is September 2, 2022.
