The CW has canceled The Outpost after four seasons. The summer series will come to a conclusion October 7. No word yet if the series was able to film a final wrap up or if threads will be left hanging. I will miss this fun and compelling fantasy series. 

Anthony Mackie is set to star as John Doe in the live action series Twisted Metal. The series is based on the video game series of the same name. Sony will present the series to potential buyers in the coming weeks.

HBO Max has cancelled Generation after one season. The series followed a group of high schoolers as they grow into themselves and explore who they are including their sexuality in a conservative town. 

Krysten Ritter has been cast as a lead in the upcoming HBO Max series Love and Death. The series also stars Elizabeth Olsen, Jesse Plemons, Patrick Fugit and Lily Rabe. The limited series covers the 1980 murder of Betty Gore by Texas housewife Candy Montgomery.

Today is the 25th anniversary of The Proud Family. Disney+ released a featurette celebrating the day and giving some more insight into the upcoming revival series The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder. They also announced guest actors for the series include Lizzo, Lil Nas X, Chance the Rapper, Normani, Leslie Odom Jr., Tiffany Haddish, Lena Waithe, Anthony Anderson, Gabrielle Union, Debbie Allen, James Pickens Jr., Courtney B. Vance, Jane Lynch, Marsai Martin, Jaden Smith, Glynn Turman, Lamorne Morris, Brenda Song, Tina Knowles, Eva Longoria, Holly Robinson Peete, Al Roker, Bretman Rock, Gabby Douglas, Laurie Hernandez and Dominique Dawes.

Gwendoline Christie has joined the cast of Netflix’s upcoming Addams Family series Wednesday. She will play Larissa Weems, the principal of Nevermore Academy, who still has an axe to grind with her former classmate Morticia Addams, played by Catherine Zeta-Jones. 

The season premiere of The Wendy Williams Show has been postponed. Host Wendy Williams has tested positive for Covid-19 and in order to keep everyone safe, pushed the premiere. The new season will now kick off October 4. 

CBS has revealed the full cast for the upcoming third season of Tough as Nails. Mike Bloom at Parade has a full first look at the upcoming cast members. The new season premieres October 6 on CBS.

The Resident has cast a new series regular role for the upcoming fifth season. Miles Fowler will play Trevor, the estranged son of Billie played by Jessica Lucas. The news comes following the departure of Emily VanCamp. 

Emily Deschanel is set to lead the cast of Devil In Ohio. Ordered at Netflix, the series is based on the book of the same name. The eight episode young adult limited series will follow a doctor who shelters a young girl after she escapes from a cult. 

Three new Gundam anime projects have been announced by Sunrise. These include a series of specials retelling the Iron-Blooded Orphans story, movie Cucuruz Doan’s Island and a new original TV series The Witch from Mercury.

Helen Mirren is set to host the upcoming Harry Potter themed competition series titled Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses. The series will help celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of the first book in the series, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Over four episodes, fans will put their knowledge to the test, as they contend for the honorary title of House Cup champion. The series will air on Cartoon Network and TBS, and stream on HBO Max.

CBS is developing a Drop Dead Diva reboot series titled Drop Dead Dave. The new series will take a different gender spin on the original series premise. The original series ran on Lifetime for six seasons and followed a shallow model who suddenly dies, only to find her soul resurfacing in the body of a brilliant, plus-sized attorney. The new series will feature all new characters. 

Netflix has unveiled its lineup for the global fan event TUDUM. The global event will happen September 25 featuring cast from many current and upcoming series and movies. 

We have our first look at season 5 of Young Sheldon. The CBS series returns October 7.
