The CW’s reboot of Legends of The Hidden Temple premieres October 10. Instead of kid contestants, this version will feature adults taking on the classic games of knowledge and physicality. Hosted by Cristela Alonso along with the all knowing Olmec they will be guiding the contestants on a journey like no other!

American Born Chinese has been ordered to series at Disney+. The action-comedy series is based on the 2006 graphic novel by Gene Luen Yang. Coming off of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Destin Daniel Cretton will direct. The series follows Jin Wang, an average teenager juggling his high school social life with his immigrant home life. When he meets a new foreign student on the first day of the school year, even more worlds collide as Jin is unwittingly entangled in a battle of Chinese mythological gods.

All American has upped Hunter Clowdus to series regular for the upcoming fourth season. The CW series has had Clowdus appear as JJ, recurring all three seasons prior. Season four of All American will premiere October 25. 

Hulu has ordered Washington Black, an adaptation of Esi Edugyan’s novel, to series. The 9 episode season will star Sterling K. Brown. The series follows the 19th-century adventures of George Washington Black, an 11-year-old boy on a Barbados sugar plantation who must flee after a shocking death threatens to upend his life. Brown will play the gregarious, larger-than-life Medwin Harris, who traveled the world after a traumatic childhood as a Black refugee in Nova Scotia as the de facto Mayor of Black Halifax prioritizes the community over everything except Washington Black, his young protégé. Meeting Wash sends him down a challenging path of self-discovery. And as the barricades around his heart start to fall, Medwin will learn to dream again.

Joel McHale has been upped to series regular for the upcoming third season of DC’s Stargirl. McHale has appeared on The CW series as a guest star multiple times and is set to appear again this season. Season 2 will run through November 2 and the series will return for season 3 midseason. 

Damian Lewis has exited Showtime’s Billions after five seasons as a series regular. There’s a chance he may appear in smaller doses down the line once the series returns for season 6 which will premiere January 23. 

Season 2 of HBO’s unscripted series We’re Here will premiere October 11. The series follows drag queens Bob the Drag Queen, Eureka O’Hara and Shangela as they continue their journey spreading love and connection across small-town America, through the art of drag. The new season will consist of eight episodes.

Nickelodeon’s Danger Force, the spinoff series of Henry Danger, returns for season 2 October 23. The four part premiere event will see the return of Jace Norman, reprising his role from Henry Danger. Ahead of the new season, Nickelodeon will also air The Danger Documentary, a half-hour special that examines the making of the final season of Henry Danger.

The Weather Channel has renewed Deep Water Salvage for season 2. The series takes viewers to the depths of the sea for exhilarating adventures and shows behind the scenes with professional salvage teams who brave rough seas around the world to save ships wrecked by fierce storms. Season 2 will have even more inside access to the salvage missions, intensifying the thrilling ocean rescue stories set to air in spring 2022.

Apple TV+ has cancelled Mr. Corman after one season. Starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, the series follows a teacher who struggled with anxiety, loneliness, and a sinking suspicion that he sucks as a person. This is the second cancellation at the streamer. 

Daniel Lissing is set to join Lori Loughlin in When Hope Calls. Both had previously appeared on the series it was spun off of, Hallmark Channel’s When Calls The Heart. She was written off following the legal battle she incurred and his character was killed off and left the series. No word on how his presence will be explained or if he’s playing the same character. The new season premieres on it’s new network GAC Country December 18. 

Stephen Colbert Presents Tooning Out the News will shift from daily episodes to weekly episodes beginning October 8. The Paramount+ series new format will feature three segments that focus on topical news of the day, the week’s most dominating stories, and special guests, including Norman Lear, Mark Hamill, Jennifer Rubin, Malcolm Gladwell, Reverend Al Sharpton, Chris Hadfield and more.

Apple TV+ has announced their first original Peanuts holiday special, For Auld Lang Syne, will premiere December 10. The gang is disappointed when Grandma can’t make it for Christmas, so Lucy resolves to throw herself the best New Year’s eve party ever, while Charlie Brown struggles to accomplish just one of his resolutions before the clock strikes twelve.

The CW has set their holiday programming for the end of the year. Featuring a mix of classic holiday movies and other festive fare, there will also be a bunch of new episodes movies and specials in the mix!
