Freeform has announced the premiere dates for two of its comedy series. Single Drunk Female will premiere with two episodes January 20. The new series follows 20-something alcoholic Samantha Fink who is forced to seize the only chance she has to sober up and avoid jail time: moving back home with her overbearing mother, Carol. Back in Greater Boston, Samantha restarts her life, working at the local grocery store while surrounded by all of the triggers that made her drink in the first place. It will regularly air at 10:30 out of the midseason premiere of grown-ish when it returns January 27 at 10. 

The Expanse returns for its sixth and final season on Amazon Prime Video December 10. The six episode season will culminate with the series finale on January 14. With the solar system at war, as Marco Inaros and his Free Navy continue to launch devastating asteroid attacks on Earth and Mars. As the tensions of war and shared loss threaten to pull the crew of the Rocinante apart, Chrisjen Avasarala makes a bold move and sends former Martian Marine Bobbie Draper on a secret mission that could turn the tide. Meanwhile in the Belt, Drummer and what’s left of her family are on the run and hunted for betraying Marco. And on a distant planet beyond the Rings, a new power begins to rise. 

Hulu’s Solar Opposites returns for a special holiday episode November 22. The episode is titled A Very Solar Holiday Opposites Special. The trailer is out now. 

Netflix’s upcoming live action Avatar: The Last Airbender series has begun production. Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, Lim Kay Siu and Ken Leung have also joined the cast as Uncle Iroh, Gyatso, and Commander Zhao. They joined previously announced cast including Gordon Cormier as Aang, Kiawentiio as Katara, Ian Ousley as Sokka, Dallas Liu as Zuko and Daniel Dae Kim as Fire Lord Ozai. 

OWN has renewed Queen Sugar for a seventh and final season. The series from Ava DuVernay will begin filming in 2022. 

Starz has ordered a new season of its comedy Party Down following its cancellation in 2010. The series starred Lizzy Caplan, Adam Scott, Jane Lynch, Ken Marino, Martin Starr, Ryan Hansen and Megan Mullally. All will be returning except Caplan due to scheduling conflicts. The new season will consist of six episodes.

Lizzy Caplan has been cast as the lead of FX on Hulu’s series Fleishman Is In Trouble. The limited series is based on a novel by Taffy Brodesser-Akner. Caplan was also recently cast as the lead of Paramount+’s upcoming Fatal Attraction remake. These commitments are a part of why she will not partake in the upcoming Party Down revival. 

LeVar Burton is set to host the upcoming TV series adaptation of the board game Trivial Pursuit. There is no word on where or when it will air. 

Starz upcoming dark family comedy series Shining Vale is set to premiere March 6. The series stars Courteney Cox and Greg Kinnear in a comedy mixed with an homage to classic horror. 

Peacock surprise released the first three episodes of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. The release comes three days earlier than expected. 

Derek Hough has been diagnosed with a breakthrough COVID case ahead of Dancing with the Stars finale. He had appeared in last night’s episode and there is no word on how he will be incorporated in the finale as of yet. 

Rockmond Dunbar has exited Fox’s 9-1-1 for not complying with the vaccination requirement. Dunbar has been with the series since it premiered. 

Nickelodeon has ordered two new animated series. Max & the Midknights is based on a book series and will have twenty episodes. Rock, Paper, Scissors is a buddy comedy series and will also have twenty episodes. 

The Thanksgiving Day Parade on CBS will air live on CBS November 25. Kevin Frazier and Keltie Knight will host live, with performances by the Broadway casts of the hit musicals Waitress and Chicago. Laya DeLeon Hayes, Wilson Cruz, Anthony Rapp, and Erich Bergen will also stop by. 

Fox has set The Masked Singer Christmas Singalong for December 22. The special will feature appearances from celebrities in the “Masked” family, hilarious bloopers, all-new behind-the-scenes footage and a special rendition of “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer”.

LL Cool J is set to ring in the holiday season as the host of The National Christmas Tree Lighting. The special will feature performances by Billy Porter, Chris Stapleton, H.E.R., Juanes, Keb’ Mo’, Kristin Chenoweth, Maren Morris and Patti LaBelle singing holiday favorites. It will air December 5. 

Diplo, Maneskin, Mickey Guyton, Tyler, the Creator, Walker Hayes and Zoe Wees are the latest announced to perform at the 2021 American Music Awards. The event hosted by Cardi B will air November 21 on ABC. 

Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson and other Harry Potter cast members will take part in a reunion retrospective special for the twentieth anniversary. Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Imelda Staunton, Tom Felton, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Mark Williams, Bonnie Wright, Alfred Enoch, Matthew Lewis, Evanna Lynch, Ian Hart, Filmmaker Chris Columbus and more will make appearances. Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts will premiere January 1 on HBO Max. 

Peacock’s upcoming holiday movie is inspired by The Real Housewives franchise. The Housewives of the North Pole is set to premiere December 9.

The new season of Call Me Kat premieres on Fox January 9. The series will then move to its regular time slot on Thursdays starting January 13. We have our first look at the new season.

Peacock has released the first four minutes of the upcoming new Psych movie, Psych 3: This Is Gus. It will premiere November 18 on Peacock.
