CBS orders ‘Fire Country’, ‘East New York’ and ‘So Help Me Todd’

CBS has ordered three new drama series for the upcoming season. They include Fire Country, East New York and So Help Me Todd.

Fire Country, which was formerly known as Cal Fire, follows a convict who upon release joins a firefighting program in his home town. It stars Max Thieriot, Billy Burke, Kevin Alejandro, Diane Farr, Stephanie Arcila, Jordan Calloway, and Jules Latimer.

East New York follows a deputy inspector of East New York leading a diverse group of officers and detectives. She uses creative methods to become a better police force. It stars Amanda Warren, Kevin Rankin, Jimmy Smits, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Richard Kind, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Lavel Schley and Olivia Luccardi

Legal drama So Help Me Todd follows a mom and son who end up working together begrudgingly. It stars Marcia Gay Harden, Skylar Astin, Madeline Wise, Tristen J. Winger, Inga Schlingmann and Rosa Arredondo

More orders are expected to come.
