Fox has canceled two freshman series, one drama, Our Kind of People and one comedy, Pivoting.
Our Kind of People was given a straight to series order and aired twelve episodes. The series followed a strong-willed, single mother who sets out to reclaim her family’s name and make an impact with her revolutionary hair care line that highlights the innate, natural beauty of Black women.
Comedy series Pivoting aired ten episodes in its first season. The series followed three women who are coping with the death of the fourth member of their group. When faced with the reality that life is short, these women pivot, and alter their current paths, by way of a series of impulsive, ill-advised and self-indulgent decisions.
Additional decisions on bubble series are set to come ahead of Fox’s Upfront presentation Monday.
