Prime Video’s new series Paper Girls premieres July 29. All eight episodes of the series based on the graphic novel by Brian K. Vaughan will premiere. In the early morning hours after Halloween 1988, four paper girls – Erin, Mac, Tiffany, and KJ – are out on their delivery route when they become caught in the crossfire between warring time-travelers, changing the course of their lives forever. Transported into the future, these girls must figure out a way to get back home to the past, a journey that will bring them face-to-face with the grown-up versions of themselves. While reconciling that their futures are far different than their 12-year-old selves imagined, they are being hunted by a militant faction of time-travelers known as the Old Watch, who have outlawed time travel so that they can stay in power. In order to survive, the girls will need to overcome their differences and learn to trust each other, and themselves. 

Amazon Freevee has picked up American Rust for a second season. The first season aired on Showtime and was canceled. Stars Jeff Daniels and Maura Tierney will both return for the new season. Based on Philipp Meyer’s critically acclaimed novel of the same name, the first season of American Rust explored the tattered American Dream in a Rust Belt town in southwest Pennsylvania through the eyes of police chief Del Harris. Harris becomes compromised when the son of the woman he loves is accused of murder, and he is forced to decide what he’s willing to do to protect him. 

Day four of Netflix Geeked was dedicated to all things Stranger Things. To celebrate the hit sci-fi series’ recent return, host Felicia Day sat down with the cast and creatives involved to get the juiciest behind-the-scenes stories from the making of Stranger Things 4, Vol. 1. Special guests include creators, executive producers, writers, and directors, the Duffer Brothers; executive producer and director Shawn Levy; and stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, and new addition Joseph Quinn. A sneak peak at Volume 2 was also shown.

Disney Channel has announced the voice cast for its upcoming animated series Hamster & Gretel. Michael Cimino, Beck Bennett, Joey King, Matt Jones, Carolina Ravassa and Meli Povenmire will all voice roles in the series. Hamster & Gretel introduces Kevin and his younger sister Gretel, who are about to be bestowed superpowers by space aliens. But something goes awry, and it’s Gretel and her pet hamster (named Hamster) who suddenly have new abilities. Now, protective older brother Kevin must figure out how to work with both Gretel and her pet Hamster to protect their city from mysterious dangers. The series will premiere this summer. 

Season nine of Bravo’s Married To Medicine premieres July 10. Returning this season are Dr. Jacqueline Walters, Dr. Simone Whitmore, Dr. Heavenly Kimes, Dr. Contessa Metcalfe, Quad Webb, Toya Bush Harris, and Anila Sajja. New friend, Audra Frimpong joins the ladies as a real estate attorney with a rich Ghanaian heritage and a strong personality and is engaged to Dr. Martin Curry. 

Saara Chaudry and Anders Holm have joined the cast of Disney+’s The Muppets Mayhem. Chaudry will be a series regular while Holm will recur. They join Lilly Singh and Tahj Mowry. The comedy series follows The Electric Mayhem Band – Dr. Teeth on vocals and keyboards, Animal on drums, Floyd Pepper on vocals and bass, Janice on vocals and lead guitar, Zoot on saxophone and Lips on trumpet – on an epic, music-filled journey to record their first-ever studio album. With the help of a driven young music executive, Nora Gibbs, the old-school Muppet band comes face to face with the current day music scene as they try to finally go platinum. 

Apple TV+ has ordered a new series titled Sugar. Colin Farrell will star in the genre-bending series. The series is a moving, character-driven science-fiction drama series. 

Netflix has acquired a slate of international animated series for the streamer. Bad Dinosaurs comes from the UK and Spain. Mermaid Magic comes from Italy. The Seven Bears comes from France. Wereworld comes from the UK. 

After tonight’s episode, the final two episodes of Fox’s MasterChef Junior will be moving to Tuesdays. The episodes will then repeat in its former timeslot on Thursdays. 

Kausar Mohammed has joined the cast of The Flash in a recurring role. She will play Dr. Meena Dhawan. The character was introduced at the end of episode 17 of the current season as the speedster Fast Track.

Hulu has ordered four new food series. Those ordered include Drag Me to Dinner, Secret Chef, Burning Men, and Chefs vs. Wild. 

Walker: Independence has promoted Gabriela Quezada to series regular. Quezada recurred in the pilot for the upcoming new series on The CW. 

The new season of My Lottery Dream Home premieres on HGTV July 8. David Bromstad crisscrosses the country to help his newly-moneyed clients find fantasy homes with their sudden wealth. David will search for decked out properties that will check off every box on a lottery winner’s wish list. 

Season two of Secret Celebrity Renovation premieres on CBS July 22. Featured celebrities this season include Utkarsh Ambudkar, Annaleigh Ashford, Devin Booker, Kandi Burruss, Nathan Chen, Aaron Donald, Billy Gardell, Debbie Gibson, Shaquille O’Neal and Nicole Scherzinger. Survivor’s Rob “Boston Rob” Mariano will join the design team, alongside returning interior designer Sabrina Soto and host Nischelle Turner will also return.

Kitchen Crash is back with a new season on Food Network starting July 12. Jeff Mauro hosts the series that sees three professional chefs head to an unsuspecting local neighborhood block party on a suburban street and surprise the residents with an outdoor cook-off. These professional chefs must turn on the charm, with only 10 minutes on the clock, to convince the residents living on the block to hand over food from their fridge and provisions from their pantries to use in the competition.  

Onyx Collective and OWN have announce the guests for the upcoming docuseries The Hair Tales. Oprah Winfrey, Issa Rae, Chlöe Bailey, Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, Marsai Martin and Chika will be featured. Episodes will feature stories offering an honest and layered look into the complex culture of Black hair and, ultimately, Black women’s identity, creativity and contributions to society – all delivered with a rare mix of intelligence, humor, style, joy and justice. The six episode docuseries will premiere later this year on OWN and Hulu. 

Motortrend+ has ordered Super Turbo Story Time. The adult animated series tells larger than life, untold, (mostly) true stories from the automotive world. In each of the eight episodes, two hosts gather together to swap their favorite car stories. While one host shares their most unbelievable automotive legend, the other host listens carefully, ready to flag any holes in the story or simply crack jokes from the peanut gallery. Using energetic, stylized animation blended with active interviews with top celebrities and automotive authorities, it will bring each host’s narrative to life in a highly entertaining, informative style. Featured hosts include Rob Corddry, Emelia Hartford, David Freiberger, Xzibit, Kristen Lee, Jarod DeAnda, Jeff Glucker, Dave Shuten, Zoë Bell, Colton Dunn and more.

Menudo: Forever Young premieres on HBO Max June 23. The four episode docuseries chronicles the rise and fall of the most iconic Latin American boy band in history. Fans get a closer look at the glitz and glamor of their favorite teen idols’ ‘80s outfits, world tours, magazine covers, and screaming fangirls. But, through interviews with ex-Menudo members and others, they also see how this extravagant facade may have covered up a web of alleged abuse and exploitation.

Season two of We Hunt Together premieres on Showtime July 3. All six episodes will be streaming July 1. After season one’s shocking finale, season two picks up with conflicted odd-couple cops DS Lola Franks and DI Jackson Mendy dead set on nailing Freddy Lane for her murderous role in their last case. When outrageous new serial killer the Birdman strikes, bringing Freddy into their orbit once more, Lola and Jackson are determined to get ahead in this cunning and complicated hunt and lock her up once and for all.
