Melissa Fumero and JB Smoove were joined by Television Academy Chairman and CEO Frank Scherma to announce the nominees for the upcoming 74th Emmy Awards. As always there were noticeable absences, pleasant surprises and many great performances to rave about. The full nominations list can be found here. HBO’s Succession leads the drama pack with 25 nominations. Apple TV+’s Ted Lasso leads the comedy field with 20 nominations. HBO’s The White Lotus leads limited series nominations with 20. Still no word on who will host the ceremony set to air on NBC September 12 or if it will go hostless. 

The CW’s All American: Homecoming was originally announced to begin streaming on HBO Max June 22. The series never appeared on the streaming service. Today, the series has begin streaming on Netflix. The series joins its parent series All American which streams on Netflix as a part of the old deal the network made with the streamer. The two series are closely connected, so having them on the same service makes sense. All American continues to be one of the most popular titles on the streamer so the spinoff should attract more eyeballs this way. 

Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon: The Second Act will premiere on Toonami July 30 at 12:30 am. Lupin the Third: Part VI moves to 1:00 am and Naruto will air a single episode at 2:30 am with the new addition to the lineup.

Peacock has revealed the first groups of women and men set to compete on Love Island USA. Featured cast members include Courtney Boerner, Deborah Chubb, Sereniti Springs, Sydney Paight, Zeta Morrison, Andy Voyen, Felipe Gomes, Isaiah Campbell, Jesse Bray, and Timmy Pandolfi. Hosted by actress Sarah Hyland and narrated by UK comedian and Love Island fan favorite Iain Stirling, Peacock’s new season premieres July 19 with 6 episode drops per week. 

Street Food: USA premieres on Netflix July 26. Get a taste of the most beloved bites on American streets and, along the way, discover the heart, soul and wildly diverse real people behind the food. 

Alden Ehrenreich has been cast in Disney+’s upcoming Marvel series Ironheart. He joins series star Dominique Thorne who will portray Riri Williams as well as Anthony Ramos. 

FX’s limited series Great Expectations is an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic novel. Olivia Colman stars as “Miss Havisham” alongside Fionn Whitehead as “Pip” and Shalom Brune-Franklin as “Estella.” The six episode coming-of-age story of an orphan also stars Ashley Thomas, Johnny Harris, Hayley Squires, Owen McDonnell, Trystan Gravelle, Rudi Dharmalingam and Matt Berry. Dickens first released it in a series of weekly chapters beginning in December 1860 before it was subsequently published as a novel. 

BBC One will produce a UK version of NBC’s That’s My Jam. Mo Gilligan will host the new version of the series from Jimmy Fallon. 

The Adult Swim Festival Block Party takes place August 5 through August 7. Taking place in the colorful neighborhood of Fishtown in Philadelphia, the series of attractions, activities,acts, and events will feature an ongoing outdoor celebration of music, comedy and fandom. Headliners include Run The Jewels, Dethklok and Philadelphia-native Tierra Whack, alongside panels for Adult Swim series Rick and Morty, Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Smiling Friends. Additional acts include Brandon Wardell, Chill Moody, Conner O’Malley, Craig Conant, DeathbyRomy, Frank D Neblett, Jon DelCollo, Reggie Conquest, and Rosebud Baker. Fans at home can watch rebroadcast highlights from music performances, panels, as well as fan favorite episodes as a part of a global live stream on Adult Swim’s YouTube channel throughout the weekend. 

VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta and Love & Hip Hop: Miami return with new seasons August 8. As part of VH1’s summer hot ‘Level Up Mondays’ programming, the juggernaut franchise returns to two of the hottest cities in the south for a raw behind-the-scenes look into iconic industry legends and ambitious rising stars pushing the envelope while trying to balance realities at home. 

Netflix’s Fanático premieres July 29. When a trap artist’s biggest fan tries to take over his idol’s persona, he finds out that being a superstar isn’t as easy as it looks.
