‘General Hospital’ Star Haley Pullos Arrested Following DUI Car Accident, Checks Into Rehab

0

Haley Pullos, a star of the ABC soap opera “General Hospital”, has been arrested on charges of driving under the influence (DUI) following a severe car crash. The accident, which occurred on April 29th, reportedly resulted in Pullos’ car colliding head-on with another vehicle on a Pasadena, California freeway after she swerved into oncoming traffic while traveling at a speed of 60 mph.

The crash left Pullos trapped in her wrecked car, from which she had to be extricated by firefighters. Post-crash photographs shared by the Pasadena Fire Department show a car heavily damaged beyond recovery.

Pullos allegedly showed signs of aggressive behavior while her injuries were being assessed, reportedly yelling about her expensive shirt. Authorities also discovered marijuana edibles and miniature bottles of tequila in her car. Subsequent observations of an alcohol scent on her breath, slurred speech, and watery eyes led to her arrest on DUI charges.

The hospital staff had to sedate Pullos due to her confrontational behavior. The crash resulted in significant injuries for the other person involved, who was also hospitalized. The production team of “General Hospital” is currently investigating the incident and plans to issue a statement.

Requests for comments from Pullos’ representatives and the Pasadena Police Department have not been met with responses as of this time.

Pullos, who also starred in “The Expanding Universe of Ashley Garcia”, has not made any public statements about her arrest on her social media platforms. She did, however, talk about the accident in a recent statement to Soap Opera Digest, subtly downplaying the severity of the situation. She announced that she would be taking a temporary medical leave from “General Hospital”, explaining, “Unfortunately, I was involved in an automobile accident, and I’m doing OK, but I am going to need a little time to recover. I will be back as soon as possible.” The series announced the role would be temporarily recast with Holiday Mia Kriegel.

On May 18, 2023, Haley Pullos was admitted to the Malibu Detox and Residential Treatment Center nearly three weeks after her arrest. Her father drove her to the facility, located approximately an hour away from her residence in Granada Hills. The center is a luxury rehab establishment, offering a wide array of treatment programs for its clients.
