Freeform has canceled its last two remaining scripted series, Good Trouble and Cruel Summer. The fifth season of Good Trouble will resume with its second, and now final half January 2. The series will film additional scenes to give the series a fitting finale. The second season of anthology series Cruel Summer aired earlier this year. 

Station 19 will be ending with its upcoming seventh season. The ABC series will reach 100 episodes with its ten episode final season. The series is a spinoff of long running series Grey’s Anatomy. 

AMC has canceled Lucky Hank after one season. The series is a mid-life crisis tale set at Railton College, told in the first person by William Henry “Hank” Devereaux, Jr., the unlikely chairman of the English department in a badly underfunded college in a working-class American town. Hank’s discontent is rooted in unresolved issues with his father, a mediocre and entitled student body, and in the fact that his department is more savagely divided than the Balkans. Lily Devereaux is the emotionally grounded, unflappable wife of Hank and the Vice Principal of the local high school in rural Pennsylvania where they live. As Hank’s life starts to unravel, Lily begins to question the path she’s on and the choices she’s made. 

New reality series The Trust: A Game of Greed premieres January 10 on Netflix. Episodes will air weekly for a 3 week event hosted by Brooke Baldwin. Eleven strangers are given a quarter of a million dollars to split evenly. Will they take their fair share? Or will the allure of more money cause them to vote each other out to keep more for themselves? It’s the ultimate test of human nature, as greed and mistrust threaten to destroy even the strongest of relationships. In this game, everyone starts as winners and they can all leave as winners – if they choose to share.

Anime series Rising Impact will air on Netflix beginning in June with season one. A second season will air in August. Gawain Nanaumi is a third-grader with an incredible love for baseball and making the ball really fly. In a chance encounter with a female professional golfer, Kiria Nishino, he learns that golf will allow him to hit a ball further than any other sport. Using his physical strength and keen observational skills gained from living in a rural mountain area, he manages to hit the ball to such an impressive distance that it rivals even that of professionals. With Kiria’s help, the new golf enthusiast enrolls at Camelot Academy, a prestigious school for both skilled and aspiring golfers from around the world. Gawain wants to be the best professional golfer in the world but there are other golf prodigies with extraordinary skills that stand in his way and he has to face various trials to overcome them. 

Attack On Titan Final Season The Final Chapters Special 2 will air its English dub January 6 on adult swim’s Toonami block. The two hour special is the final episode of the long running anime series. The episode will also begin streaming on Crunchyroll January 7. 

MTV has renewed Jersey Shore Family Vacation for a seventh season. The new season will premiere in 2024. 

Heida Reed will be leaving FBI: International during the upcoming third season. Reed has been with the series since it premiered as Special Agent Jamie Kellett. Christina Wolfe was previously added to the series as a new series regular and will make her debut in the new season. Season three premieres February 13 on CBS. 

Amanda Warren has been cast in Netflix’s The Night Agent. She will join Gabriel Basso and Luciane Buchanan in the upcoming second season of the political conspiracy series. 

The American Film Institute announced its list of the top ten TV series of 2023. Making the list this year are Abbott Elementary (ABC), The Bear (FX/hulu), Beef (Netflix), Jury Duty (Amazon Freevee), The Last Of Us (HBO), The Morning Show (Apple TV+), Only Murders in the Building (hulu), Poker Face (Peacock), Reservation Dogs (FX), and Succession (HBO).

Adam Driver is hosting Saturday Night Live on NBC December 9. Olivia Rodrigo will return as musical guest for the last night series. 

First-Time Buyer’s Club premieres on OWN December 30. Disney 100: A Century of Dreams – A Special Edition of 20/20 premieres December 14 on ABC. The documentary chronicles all facets of the storied company – from animation to parks to television to music – spotlighting those who have played essential roles in Disney’s history. Starting with the creation of the iconic character Mickey Mouse and unspooling the story of how Walt Disney’s quest to make the very first feature-length animated film, “Snow White,” nearly bankrupted the young studio, viewers will learn how unbridled determination and imagination became the cornerstones of the Walt Disney Company.
