Hit-Monkey returns for season two on hulu July 15. In New York City, Monkey finds a path to escape his life of killing, while Bryce attempts to repair the damage to those he wronged in life. But what will it cost them to undo the past?
NBC has ordered five more episodes of St. Denis Medical. The new episodes bring the total episode order to 18 episodes. This now matches Tuesday night companion comedy series Night Court at 18 episodes.
Adult Swim has renewed My Adventures with Superman for a third season. The coming-of-age story is centered on twenty-somethings Clark Kent, Lois Lane, and Jimmy Olsen as they discover who they are, together. The network has also picked up Get Jiro and Super Mutant Magic Academy to series. Based on the graphic novel by Anthony Bourdain, Get Jiro is set in a not-too-distant future L.A. where master chefs rule the town and people literally kill for a seat at the best restaurants. A mysterious sushi master named Jiro enters a bloody culinary war and begins to craft his recipe for revenge. Super Mutant Magic Academy, based on the comic series by Jillian Tamaki, is set at a high school where the student body is a mix of mutants and “regular” kids. Through eyes of Marsha, a sardonic new transfer student with a mysterious past, the series follows the awkward high school struggles and occasional triumphs of a diverse cast of teens as they stumble through romance, friendships and growing mutant powers.
Comedic investigative series Brain Works premieres June 15 on Netflix. Cha Tae-hyun is a detective with an altruistic brain. Jung Yong-hwa is a neuroscientist with an extraordinary brain. The two can’t stand each other but must partner up to solve a crime involving a rare brain disease.
Ryan Seacrest will host the new season of Wheel of Fortune this fall. He replaces Pat Sajak who stepped down after 41 seasons. Vanna White will continue to co-host with Seacrest.
Season three of Barbecue Showdown premieres July 4 on Netflix. The competition is bigger, and blazing hot! Nine of the best barbecuers from across the country will have to master the flame in an open fire playground, and create mouth-watering, boundary-pushing barbecue, for a $50,000 prize. Actress and comedian Michelle Buteau serves as host, and joins world-class BBQ judges Melissa Cookston and Kevin Bludso to crown the next great pitmaster.
Danielle Savre has been cast in NBC’s Found. Savre will recur in the second season which will air on Thursdays. No details have been revealed about who she will be playing.
An animated Blue Beetle series is in the works at Warner Bros. Animation and DC Studios. The potential series will build on the film of the same name. No cast members are attached to the project yet.

Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing returns July 14 on Discovery Channel. Fourteen Naked and Afraid All-Stars test their primitive survival skills in the punishing African bush for 45-days. The group, a mix of fan favorites and polarizing personalities, will risk everything for a chance to take home a coveted cash prize and be crowned the Last One Standing. Competitors will arrive empty handed and must earn the tools they need to secure food, water, fire and shelter through grueling, multi-phase challenges. In an unexpected twist, a head-to-head challenge occurs on Day One, resulting in a double elimination before the survivalists even get to camp. The stakes are even higher in this season’s competition because survivalists will not be allowed to share any of their tools with fellow participants.
In the Eye of the Storm premieres July 14 on Discovery Channel. Megastorms like 2021’s Hurricane Ida and the 2023 Maui Wildfires were captured by onlookers who found themselves in the wrong place at the right time and boldly held up their camera phones to document their experiences. Stories this season include ordinary people filming: their brushes with death as a monstrous system unleashes destructive tornadoes in Lewistown, IL; their frightening attempts to escape when a rare derecho superstorm blasts through Nebraska and Iowa; and their taking to the sea for any chance of survival when a hurricane turned a small wildfire into an inferno in Hawaii.
