The English dub of The Elusive Samurai premieres August 3 on Crunchyroll. In the year 1333, the Kamakura shogunate government comes crumbling down. A trusted vassal, Ashikaga Takauji, betrays the shogunate and organizes a rebellion. Hojo Tokiyuki, the rightful heir, escapes the massacre with a Shinto priest named Suwa Yorishige to Kamakura. On the run and fighting to stay alive, Tokiyuki sets in motion his plan to reclaim his birthright.

Secret World of Sound with David Attenborough premieres on Netflix August 7. Advanced audio technology captures the sound of nature like you’ve never heard it before, in this riveting docuseries narrated by Sir David Attenborough.

Defying Death premieres August 7 on Tubi. Survivors of wild animal attacks, natural disasters, and catastrophic crashes share their first-hand accounts of bravery in the face of death.

Molly Kearney is leaving Saturday Night Live ahead of the 50th season. Kearney had been with the late night NBC series for two seasons as a featured player. Punkie Johnson also recently  departed the series ahead of the new season. 

Warner Bros. Discovery is shutting down its Boomerang streaming service September 30. Select content will be made available on Max and current subscribers will transition into Max’s ad-free plan. The Boomerang linear channel will continue as is. 

Adult Swim’s Eggland pilot is finally airing August 3 at 4am. It was directed by Conner O’Malley, Brendan O’Hare, and Cole Kush. Robert and Elizabeth realize they’ve forgotten it’s their anniversary and spend the day searching for the perfect gift to give each other. Meanwhile, a small boy on a dirt bike terrorizes Eggland. The episode was previously scheduled to air earlier this year but was pulled. 

SummerSlam streams live August 3 on Peacock. Witness a night of epic title defenses, including Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa for the Undisputed WWE Championship, Damian Priest vs. Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship and Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship. Additionally, in a grudge match months in the making, CM Punk returns to the ring to face Drew McIntyre with special guest referee Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins. The Cleveland event will be hosted by The Miz, and additional matches will include Bayley vs. Nia Jax for the WWE Women’s Championship, Logan Paul vs. LA Knight for the United States Championship and Sami Zayn vs. Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental Championship. The Countdown To SummerSlam will begin streaming at 4PM ET, with the main show beginning at 7PM ET on Saturday.
