NBC has ordered additional episodes of Happy’s Place. The five episodes bring the total episode order to 18. Bobbie inherits her father’s tavern (Happy’s Place) and is surprised to discover that she has a new business partner, Isabella, a twentysomething half-sister she never knew she had. The series stars Reba McEntire, Belissa Escobedo, Melissa Peterman, Pablo Castelblanco, Tokala Black Elk and Rex Linn.

MGM+ has renewed From for a ten episode fourth season. The sci-fi horror series unravels the mystery of a nightmarish town that traps all those who enter. The series is set to return to production in Nova Scotia in 2025, and premiere in 2026. 

Laid premieres December 19 on Peacock with all eight episodes. A woman finds out her former lovers are dying in unusual ways and must go back through her sex timeline to confront her past in order to move forward. The series is a rom-com where the answer to “why can’t I find love, is there something wrong with me?” is a resounding “Yes. There is. The problem is definitely you.” 

Season two of XO, Kitty premieres January 16 on Netflix. Teen matchmaker Kitty Song Covey is back in Seoul for a new semester at KISS. She’s single for the first time in a long time, and ready for a fresh start: no more meddling, no more drama. Maybe just some casual dating. Emphasis on casual. But she has more to worry about than her love life, as a letter from her mother’s past sets her on a wild journey, and new faces at KISS bring change. As secrets unravel and bonds are tested, Kitty will learn that life, family and love are more complicated than she ever imagined. 

The Couple Next Door premieres January 17 on Starz. The grass isn’t always greener in this seemingly idyllic neighborhood where danger lurks behind twitching curtains and secret fantasies and desires don’t stay hidden for long. The six part psychological thriller explores the claustrophobia of suburbia and the fallout of chasing your deepest desires. When Evie and Pete move into the upscale neighborhood with the dream of starting a family, they soon find friendship in the shape of the couple next door, alpha traffic cop Danny and his wife, glamorous yoga instructor Becka. As time goes on, these two couples get increasingly close to each other and one fateful night, become sexually entangled in a way that will change their lives forever. 

Fifteen episode medical drama The Pitt will premiere on Max in January. The series is a realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers in today’s America as seen through the lens of the frontline heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. 

Black Doves premieres on Netflix December 5. Set against the backdrop of London at Christmas, the series is a sharp, action-filled and heartfelt story of friendship and sacrifice. It follows Helen Webb, a quick-witted, down to earth, dedicated wife and mother – and professional spy. For 10 years, she’s been passing on her politician husband’s secrets to the shadowy organisation she works for: the Black Doves. When her secret lover Jason is assassinated, her spymaster, the enigmatic Reed, calls in Helen’s old friend Sam (Ben Whishaw) to keep her safe. Together, Helen and Sam set off on a mission to investigate who killed Jason and why, leading them to uncover a vast, interconnected conspiracy linking the murky London underworld to a looming geopolitical crisis. 

HBO has renewed It’s Florida, Man. for a second season. The late-night comedy series brings to life unbelievable ripped-from-the-headlines tales of the Sunshine State – straight from the people who live there. Featuring interviews from everyday Floridians and playful recreations starring a rotating cast of actors and comedians, including Anna Faris, Jake Johnson, Randall Park, Juliette Lewis, Sam Richardson, Ego Nwodim, and more, this hilarious and outrageous series sheds light on the viral, wacky, and weird. Covering diverse topics – from mermaids to witches, extreme fantasies, and feral bunnies with equal parts humor and heart. The series is a love letter to the beaches, backwaters, and especially the people of a misunderstood yet magical state. 

CNN has renewed Have I Got News for You for a second season. The American version of the long-running UK comedy series is hosted by Roy Wood Jr. along with team captains Amber Ruffin and Michael Ian Black. Always relevant and topical, the series serves up a smart and edgy take on the news of the week, as the comic trio guides a rotating collection of guests through an array of comic games and quick-witted panel conversations that test their knowledge of current events. 

Scott Pilgrim Takes Off will not return for a second season. The first season of the Netflix series was self contained and based on the comics and featured the return of the film cast in voice roles. 

Season two of Wildcard Kitchen premieres January 7 on Food Network. The bets are bigger and the stakes are higher in the late-night culinary card game where all-star chefs bet, bluff and backstab for cold hard cash and bragging rights. In each episode, host Eric Adjepong welcomes three chefs who know each other well to the test kitchen after-hours for three hands of his underground poker game. With scores to settle and lots of smack talk, each chef brings $5,000 to the game where the luck of the draw determines dishes and cooking time – while Eric throws his own unexpected challenges into the mix.

7 Little Johnstons returns to TLC with a new season January 7. Liz and Brice’s baby girl, Leighton, has arrived home safely from the hospital, and the lively Johnston family quickly realizes that life gets even more interesting with a newborn in the mix. As Liz and Brice navigate their new roles as parents, Trent and Amber embrace their new titles as Lolly and Boppa, though not without a few growing pains. Amidst the joy, Trent faces mysterious health issues, adding a layer of concern to the family’s dynamic. This season also brings plenty of celebrations: Trent and Amber mark their 25th wedding anniversary, Anna and Amber graduate from college, and Emma and Alex graduate from high school. However, when Anna decides to skip Alex and Emma’s ceremony, it causes an unexpected rift in the usually jovial Johnston family. 

ABC presents a two-night special event commemorating the 60th anniversary of what is long considered one of Walt Disney’s crowning motion picture masterpieces, “Mary Poppins.” First, The Untold Story of Mary Poppins: A Special Edition of 20/20, a two-hour special chock full of rarely seen footage, photos and stories from the film’s living legends, airs Wednesday, Nov. 27 (9:00-11:00 p.m. EST), on ABC and streams next day on Hulu and Disney+. This diamond anniversary presentation promises to be a sweet remembrance of the enduring, first-of-its-kind movie magic, irresistible songs, and iconic characters who touched the world. Then, on Thursday, Nov. 28, The Wonderful World of Disney presents “Mary Poppins,” the beloved film that follows Mary Poppins (Julie Andrews) as she flies out of the windy London skies and into the home of two lonely and mischievous children. With the help of a carefree chimney sweep named Bert (Dick Van Dyke), the spirited nanny turns every chore into a game and every day into a “Jolly Holiday.” 

Mickey Guyton will return this holiday season as host of the National Christmas Tree Lighting, airing December 20 on CBS. This beloved American tradition, presented by the National Park Service and the National Park Foundation, will feature musical performances of holiday classics by Adam Blackstone, Muni Long, Stephen Sanchez, Trombone Shorty, James Taylor, The War And Treaty and Trisha Yearwood. Host Guyton will also perform. In addition to the official lighting of the National Christmas Tree on the Ellipse at The White House and President’s Park in Washington, D.C., the event will include performances by Airmen of Note, one of six musical ensembles that form the U.S. Air Force Band. This year’s ceremony and official lighting will take place on Thursday, December 5. 

Fox and Hulu have renewed their content partnership through a new multi-year agreement encompassing in-season streaming rights for Fox’s expansive programming slate and successful multi-platform strategic marketing alliance. Fox primetime entertainment programming will continue to stream on Hulu the next day following its linear telecast. Additionally, the deal includes an extension of the successful, expansive marketing alliance established in 2023, whereby FOX and Hulu branding will jointly share presence across all FOX owned and external consumer touchpoints to align with live and on-demand viewing messaging of FOX content. 

Ronny Chieng: Love to Hate It premieres December 17 on Netflix. Filmed over a five-night sold-out run in Honolulu at the historic Hawai’i Theatre, this extremely personal special hilariously unpacks the indignities of the IVF process, the pitfalls of being a man on the internet, American politics and the place of the older generation in today’s world. 

CMA Country Christmas returns December 3 on ABC. Filmed in Nashville in front of a live audience, the festive special showcases one-of-a-kind musical performances of Christmas classics from Country Music’s biggest stars. Returning co-hosts Amy Grant and Trisha Yearwood take the stage and perform “Sing Your Praise To The Lord” and “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town.” Grant also takes the stage to perform “Tennessee Christmas” and Yearwood delivers a fun and festive Christmas medley. Alongside the night’s hosts, the lineup includes for KING + COUNTRY with Carin León (“O Come, O Come Emmanuel”), Cody Johnson (“White Christmas”) and (“I’ll Be Home For Christmas”), Ashley McBryde and Brittney Spencer (“Man With The Bag”), Jon Pardi (“400 Horsepower Sleigh”) and CeCe Winans (“Joy To The World”). 

Rugged Rugby: Conquer or Die premieres December 10 on Netflix. In this high-stakes competition, players with formidable physiques, each weighing around 100kg, collide with sheer force. The series features seven rugby teams, each vying to be crowned the strongest in Korea. Even those new to rugby will be drawn in by the sport’s intensity, as the month-long competition promises drama along with the question of who will claim the victory trophy. The teams will engage in “scrums,” a battle of forces known as the flower of rugby, where players interlock and push against each other to gain possession of the ball. They will also score “tries” by grounding the ball in the in-goal area to earn points, and participate in “kick” matches, showcasing their precision and skill.

Toya & Reginae returns January on WE tv. The stakes are higher and the drama deeper for Toya Johnson Rushing and daughter, Reginae Carter, this season as the duo continue to juggle life, love, family, and their ever-growing careers in the spotlight… from different coasts. Toya’s excitement over her brother Walter’s return from prison quickly fades as tension bubbles up within the family and her personal life. Meanwhile, Reginae hustles to land a major acting role, all while keeping a mysterious new relationship under wraps. Polo premieres on Netflix December 10. From executive producers Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, comes an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the fast-paced and glamorous world of Polo. Over five episodes, the documentary series follows elite global players on and off the field as they compete in the high-stakes U.S. Open Polo Championship in Wellington, Florida. Through fierce rivalries and intense training, viewers will get an unprecedented glimpse into the dedication and skill required to compete at the sport’s highest level. From a young player pushed to his limits by his demanding father, to a former golfer who’s made significant sacrifices for the love of the sport, to the father-son duo widely regarded as the greatest players of all time – they all face intense personal and professional challenges as they vie for the coveted title. 

The seventh and final season of The Dragon Prince premieres on Netflix December 19. The Fallen Star has returned, and his vengeance will bring eternal night.
