Adult Swim has renewed Common Side Effects for a second season. The half-hour series follows Marshall and Frances, two former high school lab partners who share a secret: Marshall has discovered the world’s greatest medicine, a mushroom that can heal almost anything. But getting it out into the world won’t be easy – the DEA, big pharma, and international businessmen are all on the chase to stop them. The first season finale will air this Sunday at 11:30om ET/PT on Adult Swim. 

Mary Steenburgen has been cast in Netflix’s A Man on the Inside for the upcoming second season. Steenburgen will play Mona Margadoff, a former musician who factors heavily in the case Charles is trying to solve. The series follows Charles (Ted Danson), a retired man, who gets a new lease on life when he answers an ad from a PI and becomes a mole in a secret investigation. 

Mikey Madison is set to host Saturday Night Live March 29. Morgan Wallen will serve as musical guest on the late night NBC series. 

RoboForce: The Animated Series premieres April 12 on Tubi. In 2089 Detroit, RoboForce is obsolete and has no hope of becoming heroes. That is until a mysterious code virus infects the UA101 bots, and no one besides RoboForce can stop them. 

Season 12 of Basketball Wives premieres May 5 on VH1. The season promises a season packed with personal breakthroughs, growth, spiritual awakenings and even new marriages — bringing hope and fresh energy to this season. But as the stakes rise and loyalties are tested, not everyone will make it through unscathed. Returning this season are franchise icons Evelyn Lozada, Jackie Christie, Jennifer Williams, Brandi Maxiell and Brittany Renner, with a special guest appearance from executive producer Shaunie Henderson. ESPN and Disney+ have ordered a series on the Kansas City Chiefs. The six-episode docuseries is expected to premiere later this year and will explore the franchise’s indelible and distinctive place in the NFL’s landscape for over more than six decades of history while offering an exclusive, revealing chronicle of the team’s extraordinary 2024 season. Told through the lens of current-day players, coaches, and executive leaders, following them both on and off the field all season long, the series will also weave together tales of the team’s long and celebrated history, its proud culture, as well as the Chiefs’ deeply ingrained place in the Kansas City community and the wider sports landscape. 

Limited holiday series The Twelve Dates of Christmas will air on Hallmark Channel during Countdown to Christmas 2025. The series is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Jenni Bayliss. Talented Saville Row textile pattern designer Kate lives in the quaint village of Blexford, England, next door to her father Mac, who is long-divorced from Kate’s mother Delilah, a globe-trotting American always on an adventure.When not at work, Kate looks after Mac, who’s recovering from a motorbike accident and is inclined to spend his days sitting in his recliner.Unbeknownst to Kate, her best friend Laura signs her up for The 12 Dates of Christmas – a holiday-themed matchmaking program in the days leading up to the holiday featuring carefully curated, yuletide dating experiences, in an attempt to get Kate out of her rut.Lovingly coerced by Laura and longtime best friend Callum, a reluctant Kate ultimately gets into the spirit of the program and is caught off guard when she meets someone who reinvigorates her zest for life.

RACER has acquired MAVTV and will rebrand the network as RACER, forming the largest motorsports-dedicated multi-platform media entity in North America. It’s a win-win for the motorsports community and brings television, streaming, digital coverage, print journalism, live event coverage, and immersive storytelling all under one banner. This move brings together RACER’s well-established motorsports journalism and digital footprint with MAVTV’s expansive live broadcasting and streaming capabilities. The result is a fully integrated hub that will deliver 300+ live race broadcasts in 2025, alongside lifestyle content, auction shows, build series, and automotive documentaries—all aimed at growing motorsports and car culture audiences. The rebrand from MAVTV to RACER will roll out over the next few months and operations will continue in both Irvine, CA, and Indianapolis, IN. No staffing changes are planned.

Travel Queens premieres April 23 on BET Her. Best friends Lex P and Drea Nicole from “Pour Minds” explore Charleston, Key West, Mexico City, and Cartagena, blending Lex’s adventurous spirit with Drea’s love for relaxation.
