When someone important dies, all you long for is just a little more time with them. Famous Last Words gives audiences around the world the opportunity to hear from a cultural icon after they’ve passed away. The intimate, in-depth interviews were recorded with the understanding that they were to be kept secret and only aired posthumously. Conducted by Brad Falchuk, the series presents an interview with the beloved Grey’s Anatomy and Euphoria star Eric Dane, which was filmed last November. In April 2025, Dane publicly announced that he had been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a progressive neurological disease that affects muscle control. Despite the diagnosis, he expressed his intention to continue acting, and returned to the set of Euphoria for Season 3. Dane died on Feb. 19, 2026, leaving behind two daughters, Billie and Georgia, to whom he addressed his last words. He was 53. The Famous Last Words docuseries began with the much-beloved ethologist and conservationist Dr. Jane Goodall, DBE, who died on Oct. 1, 2025. Like Goodall’s interview, Dane’s was also conducted under an agreement that the episode would only be aired after his death. These episodes include an intimate moment when the subjects look into the camera and speak directly to viewers. Those final thoughts are presented unedited and in full.
