NBC has renewed all three of its OneChicago series. Returning for new seasons are Chicago Fire (Season 15), Chicago P.D. (Season 14) and Chicago Med (Season 12).
CBS has canceled Watson and DMV. Drama series Watson aired for two seasons. Comedy series DMV aired for one season. Two comedy pilots are still in contention for the upcoming season while the network already has two new drama series set for the new season.
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End has been renewed for a third season. It will return in October 2027. The series streams on Crunchyroll in the US. After the party of heroes defeated the Demon King, they restored peace to the land and returned to lives of solitude. Generations pass, and the elven mage Frieren comes face to face with humanity’s mortality. She takes on a new apprentice and promises to fulfill old friends’ dying wishes. AMC has canceled Talamasca: The Secret Order. The series was set in the Anne Rice Immortal Universe alongside Interview with the Vampire and Mayfair Witches.
Sean Hayes has joined the cast of The Morning Show. Hayes will appear in the upcoming fifth season of the Apple TV series.
Sentenced to Be a Hero will return for a second season. The series stream on Crunchyroll in the US. No word on when it will air currently. Netflix announced the latest recurring cast to join Kennedy, a new drama series based on Fredrik Logevall’s book, “JFK: Coming of Age in the American Century, 1917-1956,” which will explore the triumphs and tragedies of the Kennedy family. Georgina Bitmead plays Eunice Kennedy. Miley Locke plays younger Kick Kennedy. Tipper Seifert-Cleveland plays younger Rosemary Kennedy. Hera Hilmar plays Inga Arvad. Wyatt Russell plays Charles Lindbergh. Patrick Fischler plays Arthur Krock. Caitlin FitzGerald plays Clare Boothe Luce. Louis Landau plays Billy Cavendish. Robin Soans plays Neville Chamberlain. Denis O’Hare plays Raymond Furness. Albert Welling plays Winston Churchill. Toby Huss plays Franklin D. Roosevelt. Eddie Marsan plays J. Edgar Hoover. They join previously announced series regulars Michael Fassbender as Joe Kennedy, Sr., Laura Donnelly as Rose Kennedy, Nick Robinson as Joe Kennedy Jr., and Joshuah Melnick as Jack Kennedy with recurring cast Ben Miles as Eddie Moore, Lydia Peckham as Rosemary Kennedy, Saura Lightfoot-Leon as Kick Kennedy, Cole Doman as Lem Billings, and Imogen Poots as Gloria Swanson. The series reveals the intimate lives, loves, rivalries and tragedies that shaped the most iconic dynasty in modern history, and helped create the world we live in today. Beginning in the 1930s, the first season charts the improbable ascent of Joe and Rose Kennedy and their nine children, including rebellious second son Jack, who struggles to escape the shadow of his golden boy older brother.
Savannah Guthrie is set to return to Today April 6. The news comes as the anchor’s mother remains missing. Guthrie last appeared on the series January 30.
Docuseries The Dark Wizard premieres April 14 on HBO.
