Sony Pictures Television has renewed S.W.A.T. Exiles for a second season. The renewal comes ahead of its series premiere September 25 on Starz. In the new series, Moore reprises his role as Sergeant Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Special Weapons and Tactics (S.W.A.T.) Division. After stepping away from leading the 20-David Squad, Hondo is pulled back into action to lead a last-chance experimental S.W.A.T. unit made up of untested and unpredictable young recruits. Bridging a generational divide, Hondo must navigate clashing personalities and turn a squad of outsiders into a team capable of protecting the city and saving the program that made him who he is.
Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story premieres September 17 on Netflix. When the repressed daughter of a wealthy New England family and her rebellious maid find themselves trapped in a house built on humiliation and cruelty, they escape into a fantasy of sex, power, and revenge. The gruesome unsolved murders that follow don’t just shock the world – they give birth to an icon who refuses to live imprisoned in a cage, choosing instead to forge her own legend: shocking, monstrous, and gloriously free.
Trespasses premieres September 20 on PBS. The series follows Cushla, a young Catholic schoolteacher whose life in 1975 Northern Ireland is shadowed by the Troubles. She meets and falls for Michael – an older, married Protestant barrister. Their affair is intoxicating and dangerous. As the forbidden love between Cushla and Michael deepens, violence looms and tensions rise. Cushla is pulled between duty and desire, family and freedom.
Brandy Norwood is bringing her voice to the theme song for A Different World, premiering September 24 on Netflix. The series returns to Hillman College with a new class stepping onto campus – and beloved faces coming home. At the center is Deborah Wayne (Maleah Joi Moon), Whitley and Dwayne’s lovingly sheltered youngest daughter, a free spirit with a flair for the spotlight and a big heart who’s still figuring out her own path at Hillman. Along the way, she’s joined by a new generation that reflects the breadth of Black life on campus: Rashida Duvall (Alijah Kai), a first gen criminal justice major; Shaquille Johnson (Cornell Young IV), a five star athlete choosing legacy; Amir Rodale (Jordan Aaron Hall), a sharp psych major better at fixing everyone else’s problems than facing his own; Hazel Henry (Kennedi Reece), a church raised small town girl defining her own values; and Kojo Achebe (Chibuikem Uche), a Ghanaian Nigerian fashion entrepreneur finding the courage to follow his vision. Legacy favorites also return, including Whitley Gilbert (Jasmine Guy), Dwayne Wayne (Kadeem Hardison), Freddie Brooks (Cree Summer), and Ron Johnson (Darryl M. Bell). Set against the rituals, humor, and nuances of an HBCU, it is a hopeful dramedy, full of heart and unapologetically centered on the richness and complexity of the Black experience.
Animated series Dang! premieres September 8 on Netflix. The series follows a brother and sister duo whose fun, messy lives in New York City are interrupted when their worst nightmare comes true: their high-achieving older sister shows up and wants to hang out with them.
Season three of Scariest House in America premieres on HGTV September 18. Ugliest House in America star Retta will continue her search for the country’s most spine-tingling properties. This season will now feature six one-hour episodes, up from the half-hour format in previous seasons. The actress, comedian and home design enthusiast will brave 20 tours of petrifyingly paranormal or horrifically hideous houses whose owners say are haunted by scary stories and hair-raising sights. From the East to the Ozarks and New England to the Midwest, Retta will discover harrowing places like a centuries-old frightening farmhouse, an eerie former nursing home and a rotting 1800s jailer’s house that abound with supernatural sites, ghostly apparitions and unearthly whispers. In each episode, Retta will share hilariously unfiltered views about each home’s scary appearance, un-livability and fright factor. HGTV will ultimately deem one house the “scariest” of them all and award the homeowners a showstopping renovation by popular network designer Alison Victoria in the season finale.

Filming has wrapped on Paramount+’s Australian series Who The Hell Is Hamish? The six-episode drama starring Dominic Cooper and Claire van der Boom was filmed in Queensland. It is inspired by an industrious fraudster, and the group of victims who eventually decided they had had enough of him. The charming and cultured Hamish sets his sights on Bec, a recently divorced single mother with three sons and access to a significant family trust. When Bec notices gaps in his story and some odd behaviour, what starts as private unease widens into something far larger: a pattern of deception spanning continents and suspected of leaving more than $70 million in its wake.
Big Brother will celebrate its 1000th episode live on CBS August 27. The historic night will feature surprise appearances from former Houseguests determined by interactive fan votes and kick off the biggest twist of the summer. The episode will look back at some of the most memorable moments from the show’s historic 26-year run and shift into overdrive with the BB Blockbuster and a live eviction. Details to be announced in the coming weeks.
Pretty Good Advice with Chip Gaines premieres August 17 on Magnolia Network’s YouTube channel. Chip will set up his advice booth at the Silos to offer guidance, and occasionally a little tough love, to guests who stop by. In the premiere, he will help a baker determined to rebuild his life by rediscovering his passion for baking and entrepreneurship. Later, he gives an elementary schooler advice on going away to camp for the first time. Across the five episodes, conversations will span everything from home renovation and business to family and life wisdom, all delivered with Chip’s signature humor and heart.
Disney+, ESPN and Formula E have signed a multi-year deal that will bring all Formula E races to Disney+ and ESPN+ in the U.S. and to Disney+ in most international markets beginning with the 2026/27 season. Spanning 21 rounds across 13 events in some of the most iconic cities around the world, the upcoming season kicks off on December 18 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and with stops in Austin, Miami, Monaco and Mexico City, culminating in the final round on July 25, 2027, in Tokyo.

Australian thriller Last Seen premieres September 9 on Apple TV with the first two episodes, followed by one weekly.
