Freeform has renewed Coven Academy for a second season. In the haunted heart of New Orleans, the series follows three teenage witches and their dangerously charming warlock peers at an elite magic boarding school where power is currency, secrets are lethal and attraction is a liability. Caught between ancient supernatural wars and forbidden love interests, the coven must decide how far they’re willing to go to protect their city – and themselves.

Amy Madigan has been cast in the upcoming Paramount+ series, Ascent. Madigan joins Viola Davis and Sam Heughan in the series and will play “Rachel” a former executive at Ascent Ventures and Catriona’s (Davis) lifelong mentor.

MGM+ has ordered The Black Tapes starring Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Dr. Richard Strand. The eight-episode supernatural horror investigation series is based on the hit horror podcast of the same name created by Terry Miles and Paul Bae. Dr. Richard Strand, a brilliant psychiatrist with a mysterious past, teams with the obsessed, relentless scientist Alex Regan to debunk paranormal cases of hauntings, possessions, disappearances, and sinister legends – the infamous black tapes. But as Strand and Regan unravel the secrets of these events, they uncover a hidden occult world behind our own and must unravel a centuries-old apocalyptic conspiracy.

Baywatch premieres January 6 on Fox. The new series finds wild-child legacy character HOBIE BUCHANNON (Stephen Amell) serving as a Baywatch Captain, following in the footsteps of his legendary father, Mitch, leading a new generation of lifeguards to the Southern California coast, where high-stakes rescues collide with attraction, friendship, family and responsibility. Hobie’s world is turned upside down when his daughter CHARLIE VALE (Jessica Belkin) shows up on his doorstep eager to carry on the Buchannon family legacy. The series also stars as members of this new Baywatch team, Hassie Harrison as NAT, Shay Mitchell as TRINA, Thaddeus LaGrone as BRAD, Noah Beck as LUKE, and Brooks Nader as SELENE. In recurring roles, Livvy Dunne will make her acting debut as GRACE and David Chokachi will reprise his original series character of CODY MADISON.

Three part series Get Huge: Looksmaxxing to Death premieres November 10 on hulu. Deep in the manosphere, an underground movement promises to unlock human potential – bulging muscles, bigger penises, eternal youth. At its center is Dr. Tony Huge, a guru pushing homemade biohacks on a devoted following willing to risk everything for the cause. When Leo & Longevity, a penis-enlargement expert and one of Tony’s closest allies, is found dead in Thailand, alpha-male influencers become online sleuths, running wild with theories and questioning Tony Huge and his right-hand man, Connor Murphy. Soon, a darker pattern emerges: Leo isn’t the first of the inner circle to die under mysterious circumstances. Will he be the last?
