Michael Nader brings Dimitri back to ‘All My Children’

All My Children fans are in for a treat this morning. After nearly a decade, Michael Nader has signed on to reprise his role as Dimitri Marick.

So what brings one of Erica Kane’s many, many husbands back to Pine Valley? Her favorite frenemy Brooke English offers Dimitri a job as head of one of Chandler Enterprises new divisions, Chandler Media, and he gratefully accepts.

In a press release, Nader talked about getting the call to return to the show from executive producer Ginger Smith. She explained to Nader that the show was re-launching online. “She said ‘we’d love for you to come back.’ And I said, ‘you want me, you got me.’ Being back is like being home,” Nader said.

Before his popular AMC role, Nader appeared in Dynasty, Beach Blanket Bingo, Gidget, As the World Turns and Magnum P.I. The actor has also had guest appearances on several shows including Law & Order: SVU and Cold Case.

Nader returns to All My Children on June 3.
