Roscoe Born (Trent Robbins, Days) has been let go from his role on Days of Our Lives. Born joined the NBC soap in May. It was soon revealed that he is the biological father of Max Brady (Darin Brooks). Born has enjoyed front burner status so far this year. NBC has said that Born’s exit is storyline dictated and will depart in the fall.
Born has had a long and illustrious career in television and found his niche in soap operas. His first soap role was on Ryan’s Hope as mobster Joe Novak. He was with the show from 1981 until 1983 and returned in 1988. He next joined One Life to Live as cult leader Mitch Laurence from 1985 until 1987 and returned again from 2002 until 2003. Santa Barbara was Born’s next stop where he recieved a Daytime Emmy nomination in 1991 as Robert Barr. Born has also been seen on The City, All My Children, As The World Turns, Guiding Light, Passions and The Young and The Restless.
It was his role on All My Children that has proved to be the most memorable for Born. Born played Jim Thomasen in 1997 when Born made the decision to break his contract with ABC. He did make a public apology however, it took a long time for Born to be hired again. We are sure that this talented actor will be back on our screens soon.
