Former OLTL star takes the stage at The New York Musical Theater Festival!
Best known for his portrayal of Max Holden on ABC’s One Life to Live, James DePaiva is not only an actor but also has an amazing set of pipes. He will be appearing in a Barry Harmon’s Under Fire at this year’s New York Musical Theater Festival, being held in New York City.
The production is based on a 1983 movie about a group of journalists involved in a romantic triangle, set during the Central American revolution in the 1970’s. “I play Alex Grazier, the Gene Hackman character in the film,” DePaiva tells Soaps In Depth. “I’m a top foreign correspondent who’s debating whether or not to take a network anchor job that has been offered to him because it means leaving the woman he loves.”
It has been three decades since the actor used his vocal talents, he will be in good company when he shares the stage with several accomplished Broadway talent, “I’m in it with several Broadway stars — Jack Noseworthy, Caesar Samayoa, and Jodi Stevens, who happens to be married to Scott Bryce (ex-Craig, ATWT, ex-Dr. Crosby, OLTL),” he enthuses. “I’m learning from the best!”
