‘Reign’ Preview: Mary Goes Against Her Mother’s Wishes

After this week’s insane (in the best possible way) episode, Reign is taking a short break before returning on April 10 with a new episode, “Liege Lord.”

We’re definitely curious to see the aftermath of Bash and Kenna’s surprise wedding and what happens with Lola and Greer and their new potential husbands. Judging by the photos The CW has released for the episode, it looks like Queen Catherine is still having a rough go of things. But perhaps the part we’re most looking forward to is seeing Mary Queen of Scots in action.

The young queen has been dealing with a lot since coming to French Court and the pressure is on for her to give Francis an heir. In the next episode, Mary finds out that there was a clause in her marriage contract that gives France control over Scotland if she fails to do so. As the video below shows, Mary is not amused by this decision and is prepared to take action.

It seems that Mary enjoys the taste of power that she’s given. But will there be a price to pay for openly defying her mother? And how will Francis react to his wife’s new role? How much trouble is this going to cause between Mary and Catherine? And we can only guess that the unstable king will not be happy with anyone.
