Fox has announced the pick up of three new, single-camera comedies, one starring ‘The Office’ alum, Mindy Kaling, who will write, executive produce, and star in the comedy.
In It’s Messy Kaling stars as Bridget Jones type doctor, who is trying to survive her personal and professional life. The Office’s Howard Klein will also serve as an executive producer. Her co-stars are Ed Weeks, Chris Messina, Anna Camp, Zoe Jarmon, and Dana DeLorenzo. The pilot, which was also executive produced by her former co-star, BJ Novak, also guest stars Bill Hader, Ed Helms, and Richard Schiff.
In The Goodwin Games Scott Foley, Jake Lacy, and Becki Newton star as siblings who inherit their late father’s fortune, but only if they agree to his terms. The show comes from How I Met Your Mother writersCarterBays, Craig Thomas, and Chris Harris, who created the show withNewton in mind after her successful stint on HIMYM.
Lastly, Ben stars Dakota Johnson as a single mother whose brother moves in to help raise her baby and will star Lucy Punch, Maggie Jones, and Echo Kellum. The concept is taken from the life of writer/executive producer Dana Fox’s brother, Ben.
