With the season six premiere of The Good Wife delivering an unexpected twist last Sunday; it’s safe to say we were all left with numerous questions as we digested the events that were served to us. I think it’s also safe to say that we can expect to see more developments on this front and possibly (highly likely) even more twists, in this coming episode.
In “Trust Issues,” we find Alicia in the wake of her partner’s predicament, left on her own fighting to maintain Florrick/Agos’ biggest client (Hmm…Chummie, is that you?). We can’t help but wonder why the struggle arises to begin with. Does it have to do with Cary’s arrest? While Cary is still sitting pretty in jail hoping for a miracle, Alicia is left to make some very important decisions on her own. One of which we can all be sure that Cary will have a very big problem with. Will that stop Alicia from moving forward?
While Diane continues making moves to depart from Lockhart/Gardner under the guise of retirement, Alicia is meeting with her former boss’ clients to encourage them to follow her to Florrick/Agos. Meanwhile, seeing as Diane is in search of partners that are willing to leave with her, enter Taye Diggs, who starts his guest star gig as Dean Levine-Wilkins in this episode. Who is Dean? Can we trust him? Will he follow Diane? Knowing full well that they would never let her have the last laugh, what do Louis Canning and David Lee have up their sleeves?
Finally, the biggest question on our minds: Will there be more Lemond Bishop in this episode? Ok, no, seriously. Will Alicia and Diane succeed in getting Cary released? If so, what lengths will they have to go to? Better yet, WHO will have to go to said lengths? (Yes. I’m looking at you, Kalinda). Needless to say, I’m excited for this upcoming episode and am eager to see what happens next. Check out the photos from the episode and then let me know your thoughts!
The Good Wife airs Sunday, Sept. 28 at 9/8c on CBS (just kidding – it airs whenever the football games allow it).
