ABC’s General Hospital is cranking up the heart wrenching drama for February sweeps. Last week, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) was devastated when her husband, Detective Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) was killed in the line of duty while trying to rescue her from a psychotic madman. This week, Nathan’s friends and family pay their final respects in what looks to be a bonafide tear jerker.
Maxie and Nathan were happily expecting the arrival of their first child together before their world was blown apart by the knowledge that international criminal Cesar Faison was Nathan’s father. In an attempt to lure him out, Nathan goes public with this bombshell and it unfortunately goes terribly wrong.
The promo features the aftermath of Nathan’s death including Maxie being comforted by parents Mac (John J. York) and Felicia (Kristina Wagner), Nathan’s sister Nina (Michelle Staff0rd) crying out in despair, and Nathan’s best friend and partner Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) covering his body. Port Charles will pay respects to a hero lost with special appearances by Brytni Sarpy (as Valerie Spencer) and Kimberly McCullough (as Robin Scorpio-Drake).
