Star Wars Rebels’ Sam Witwer Joins ‘Riverdale’ Season 4

Watch out, Jughead! ComicBook.com is reporting that Sam Witwer (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Supergirl) is joining the cast of Riverdale for its upcoming fourth season. Witwer will recur as Mr. Chipping, a lecturer at Jughead’s (Cole Sprouse) new prep school, who will cause trouble for the sardonic teen.

According to his official character description, “Mr. Chipping teaches creative writing at a prestigious prep school near Riverdale. He recruits Jughead for his seminar, and while he’s eminently inspiring to his students, there’s a darkness hidden far beneath the surface…”

Riverdale returns for season 4 Wednesday, October 9th at 8/7c on The CW.

Based on the characters from the Archie Comics, Riverdale is a bold and subversive take on the wholesome town of Riverdale and some of its teen residents, including Archie, Betty, Veronica and Jughead, as they discover the darkness and dangers that bubble underneath their town’s wholesome façade.
