Tales of the Walking Dead will premiere on AMC August 14. The series consists of six original one-hour standalone episodes focused on both new and established characters within the walker apocalypse. Each episode has its own distinct tone and point of view — but the stakes are high in each story, pushing new, indelible characters with relentless, life-threatening choices and situations. We get to see the apocalypse through different eyes, discovering more worlds, mythos, and mysteries of the Walking Dead. The series will also stream on AMC+.
Ted Lasso star and writer Brett Goldstein has announced that the upcoming third season will likely be the final season of the Apple TV+ series. The series has been envisioned as a three season series from the outset, but the popularity of the series has put that into question. There is no official word from Apple TV+ if it will be the final season.
HBO Max’s animated series Summer Camp Island was set to premiere June 9 but the streamer pulled the premiere. The series will now premiere sometime in 2023. No word on why the series was delayed so close to the premiere date.
Short series I Am Groot premieres on Disney+ August 10. The series features five original shorts starring Baby Groot, everyone’s favorite little tree. It will also feature several new and unusual characters. Vin Diesel, who is the voice of Groot in the “Guardians of the Galaxy” franchise, voices Baby Groot.
Juno Temple, Jon Hamm and Jennifer Jason Leigh have been cast in FX’s Fargo. The fifth season of the anthology series will be set in the year 2019. Other plot details will be announced later.
