Netflix has renewed The Sandman for a second season. It will return with even more episodes and stories to be adapted from multiple The Sandman graphic novels. Episode count and story details are being kept under wraps. The first season consisted of ten episodes and a bonus episode.
The season five midseason premiere of Freeform’s grown-ish will air January 18. After following in his big sister Zoey’s footsteps, Andre Johnson Jr., aka Junior, finishes his first year at Cal U, transitioning from Zoey’s little brother to big man on campus.
HBO Max’s planned Degrassi revival series and Charlotte’s Web series will not be moving forward. The news comes after Warner Bros. Discovery has cut back on many projects in the recent months.

Freeform’s new series The Watchful Eye will premiere January 30 with back to back episodes. The series follows Elena Santos, a young woman with a complicated past, maneuvering her way into working as a live-in nanny for an affluent family in Manhattan. She quickly learns that everyone in the mysterious building has deadly secrets and ulterior motives. What they don’t know, however, is that Elena has some shocking secrets of her own.
Showtime’s George & Tammy will premiere December 4. The first episode will also be simulcast behind Yellowstone on Paramount Network. The series chronicles the country music power couple, Tammy Wynette and George Jones, whose complicated-but-enduring relationship inspired some of the most iconic music of all time. Remembered as the “First Lady of Country Music,” Wynette’s most successful song “Stand by Your Man” remains one of the most iconic and best-selling country singles by a female artist. George Jones’ song “He Stopped Loving Her Today,” is still widely called the greatest country song of all time. With over 30 number-one country songs between them, including duets “We’re Gonna Hold On,” “Golden Ring” and “Near You,” George and Tammy’s legacy, both musically and romantically, remains one of the greatest love stories ever told. The series was initially set up at Spectrum Originals before they pulled out of scripted content.
Onyx Collective’s Reasonable Doubt will get a special airing on ABC November 10 at 10. In the series which streams on hulu, you’ll judge Jax Stewart for her questionable ethics and wild interpretations of the law … until you’re the one in trouble. Jeff Dunham: Me the People will premiere on Comedy Central November 25. Jeff’s eleventh stand up special was filmed at the historic Warner Theatre in Washington. With the help of many of his beloved characters (and even a brand new one!), Dunham tackles how much time we dedicate to our devices, the ridiculous things we spend money on, and cancel culture in comedy.
A special standalone episode of Netflix’s My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman will premiere later this year. The episode will feature a sit down interview with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in front of a small live audience in Kyiv, Ukraine.
HGTV’s Home Town returns for an all new season December 4. The series stars home renovation experts Erin and Ben Napier as they bring new life to outdated homes in their small town of Laurel, Mississippi, while navigating their busy family life.
Peacock has ordered a new drama series based on the thriller The Day of the Jackal. The new series is a bold, contemporary reimagining of the beloved and respected novel and film. While remaining true to the DNA of the original IP, this contemporary drama will delve deeper into the chameleon like ‘anti-hero’ at the heart of the story, in a high octane, cinematic, globetrotting ‘cat and mouse’ thriller, set amidst the turbulent geo-political landscape of our time.
Prime Video has unveiled additional casting for its upcoming comedy drama series My Lady Jane. Dominic Cooper, Rob Brydon, Will Keen, Anna Chancellor, and Jim Broadbent will all star. Additional cast announced today include Kate O’Flynn, Isabella Brownson, Henry Ashton, Abbie Hern, Joe Klocek, Máiréad Tyers, Brandon Grace, and Michael Workeye.
The new HBO Max and Discovery+ combined streamer debut has been moved up from Summer 2023 to Spring 2023. Still no word on what the new streamer will be named.
Bellamy Young and Eric McCormack have been cast in hulu’s The Other Black Girl. The two will be series regulars.
Theo James has been cast in Netflix’s The Gentlemen. The series is based on the film of the same name.
Ali Ahn and Maria Dizzia have joined the cast of Disney+’s Marvel series Agatha: Coven of Chaos. They join Kathryn Hahn, Joe Locke and Aubrey Plaza in the WandaVision spinoff series.
CNBC has canceled The News With Shepard Smith. The final episode will air in November. A new series and host will fill the time slot in 2023.
ABC is developing a comedy series from Lauren Ashley Smith titled Moore & More. The single camera comedy series would follow a family that is very close.
Disney+ is developing A Crown of Wishes based on the Star-Touched Queen book series. Avantika will star in the potential series.

After a man is found stabbed and burned alive in his Colorado Springs apartment, Lt. Joe Kenda and his team find themselves at a standstill. But when a string of unexplained murders begins to plague the community, Kenda uncovers a similarity between the crime scenes that launches a 100-mile-wide manhunt.

The 2023 CMT Music Awards will air live from Moody Center in Austin, Texas, April 2 on CBS. Country superstar Kelsea Ballerini will return as CMT Music Awards co-host for the third consecutive year with her fellow co-host to be announced later. Carrie Underwood will also perform at the ceremony.
Uvalde: 365 Presents – The Struggle to Understand will premiere on ABC News Live and hulu November 4. John Quiñones and María Elena Salinas report on how the people of Uvalde are navigating their lives nearly six months after the mass shooting at Robb Elementary. During the special, Quiñones joins local families for the custom of Día de Los Muertos and chronicles how therapy, faith and tradition are helping them cope with grief. Salinas explores the identity of Uvalde, what the city was known for before the May 24 massacre, how views on guns have changed for some but not for all considering Election Day looming, and how the library is a beacon for community members during their darkest moments.
