Season five of espionage drama Slow Horses premieres September 24 with the first two episodes, followed by one episode weekly until October 22. The new six episode season is adapted from “London Rules,” the next novel in Mick Herron’s “Slough House” book series. The darkly humorous espionage drama follows a dysfunctional team of British intelligence agents who serve in a dumping ground department of MI5 known unaffectionately as Slough House. Gary Oldman stars as Jackson Lamb, the brilliant but cantankerous leader of the spies who end up in Slough House due to their career-ending mistakes as they frequently find themselves blundering around the smoke and mirrors of the espionage world. In season five, everyone is suspicious when resident tech nerd Roddy Ho has a glamorous new girlfriend. When a series of increasingly bizarre events occur across the city, it falls to the Slow Horses to work out how everything is connected. After all, Lamb knows that in the world of espionage, the London Rules – cover your back – always apply. The ensemble cast includes Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Ruth Bradley, James Callis, Tom Brooke and Jonathan Pryce. Season five will also welcome Nick Mohammed as a special guest star. The series has previously been renewed for a sixth season. 

We Were Liars premieres June 18 on Prime Video with all eight episodes. The mystery thriller series is based on the best-selling novel by E. Lockhart. It follows Cadence Sinclair Eastman and her tight-knit inner circle, nicknamed the Liars, during their summer escapades on her grandfather’s New England private island. The Sinclairs are American royalty – known for their good looks, old money, and enviable bond – but after a mysterious accident changes Cadence’s life forever, everyone, including her beloved Liars, seems to have something to hide. 

Season three of The Gilded Age premieres June 22 on HBO. The American Gilded Age was a period of immense economic and social change, when empires were built, but no victory came without sacrifice. Following the Opera War, the old guard is weakened and the Russells stand poised to take their place at the head of society. Bertha sets her sights on a prize that would elevate the family to unimaginable heights while George risks everything on a gambit that could revolutionize the railroad industry – if it doesn’t ruin him first. Across the street, the Brook household is thrown into chaos as Agnes refuses to accept Ada’s new position as lady of the house. Peggy meets a handsome doctor from Newport whose family is less than enthusiastic about her career. As all of New York hastens toward the future, their ambition may come at the cost of what they truly hold dear. 

A bonus episode of The Sandman will air on Netflix following the series finale. The second and final season will debut in two batches, on July 3 and July 24. The bonus episode, similar to the bonus episode in season one, will premiere July 31. The episode will focus on Death, titled “The Sandman Presents: Death: The High Cost of Living.”

Additional cast members have been announced for ABC’s upcoming new series 9-1-1: Nashville. Joining the 9-1-1 spinoff series are Hailey Kilgore, Michael Provost, Juani Feliz, and Hunter McVey. They join previously announced cast members Chris O’Donnell, Jessica Capshaw, LeAnn Rimes, and Kimberly Williams-Paisley. 

Animated series Haunted Hotel premieres September 19 on Netflix. Will Forte, Eliza Coupe, Skyler Gisondo, Natalie Palamides and Jimmi Simpson will voice characters. A single mother of two struggles to run a haunted hotel with the help of her estranged brother, who is now one of the ghosts haunting the hotel and thinks the other ghosts have some pretty good ideas.

Episodes of Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune will begin streaming on Peacock, hulu and hulu on Disney+ with the upcoming new seasons later this year. Episodes will stream a day after they premiere on air. Library episodes will also be available to stream. 

Anime series Leviathan will premiere on Netflix July 10. Set in an alternate steampunk past, an Austrian fugitive prince and a Scottish airman in disguise embark on an unexpected quest to prevent a world war.

Season twelve of Love Island UK will premiere June 12 on hulu. Host Maya Jama is the official CEO of Love, presiding over all of the in Villa action as the class of 2025 get set for a summer full of twists and turns. From bombshell arrivals to surprise dumpings, Islanders in sun-drenched Mallorca must truly expect the unexpected. 

CMA Fest presented by SoFi will air June 26 on ABC. Country stars Cody Johnson and Ashley McBryde host the star-studded, three-hour television event, set to be filmed in the heart of Nashville during the 52nd CMA Fest later this week. McBryde returns for the second straight year to host the special, while Johnson makes his hosting debut. It will spotlight unforgettable performances and must-see collaborations from some of Country Music’s biggest stars. The full lineup will be revealed in the coming weeks. 

A legendary lineup of stars are set to present at The 78th Annual Tony Awards, on Sunday, June 8 (8:00-11:00 PM, LIVE ET/5:00-8:00 PM, live on CBS. Hosted by Cynthia Erivo and airing live from the legendary Radio City Music Hall in New York City, the talented lineup of stars includes Aaron Tveit, Adam Lambert, Alex Winter, Allison Janney, Ariana DeBose, Ben Stiller, Bryan Cranston, Carrie Preston, Charli D’Amelio, Danielle Brooks, Jean Smart, Jesse Eisenberg, Katie Holmes, Keanu Reeves, Kelli O’Hara, Kristin Chenoweth, LaTanya Richardson Jackson, Lea Michele, Lea Salonga, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Michelle Williams, Oprah, Rachel Bay Jones, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Samuel L. Jackson, Sara Bareilles and Sarah Paulson. Brian Stokes Mitchell will be the show announcer. 

The worldwide sensation Savannah Bananas will make their broadcast television debut on The CW Sunday, July 27 (3:00-5:30pm ET), as they bring their unique brand of “Banana Ball” to Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park in front of a sold-out crowd of more than 40,000 fans. The Savannah Bananas have earned worldwide fame with their one-of-a-kind brand of “Banana Ball” – the fastest and most entertaining game of baseball. Known for their choreographed dances, epic scoring celebrations, flaming bats, and an array of other antics, the team has sold out every game at their home field, historic Grayson Stadium in Savannah, Georgia, since their 2016 inaugural season. 

Crunchyroll has announced new series set to premiere on the streamer this year. Let’s Play, set to premiere in 2025, is based on the gaming themed webcomic. Samara “Sam” Young is a developer in Los Angeles who’s about to achieve her dreams with her first video game, Ruminate. That is, until a popular streamer gives the game a scathing review. Even worse, Sam finds out the troublesome critic is now her new neighbor! Get lost in a comedic, romantic, and all-too-real story about gaming, memes, and social anxiety. Come for the plot, stay for the doggo. Otherworldly Munchkin: Let’s Speedrun the Dungeon with Only 1 HP!, premiering this October, is a comedic isekai series. 16-year-old Yukito Kirihara lives with his 14-year-old sister Sana, who he treasures more than anyone else. But when an ogre shows up outside of his window looking for Sana (a shocking event in its own right), Yukito leaps to save her—and is killed. He’s offered the promise of reincarnation by a mysterious woman, who gives him a character sheet in a mysterious book. But when Yukito sees Sana in there, too, he sets off to find her, and save them both—even if he only has 1 hp with which to do it! Also set to premiere this July is With You and the Rain. On a rainy day, Fuji meets a cute critter posing as a dog and offering an umbrella and a cue card that says, “Please take me home,” and she can’t resist. With this dog-poster’s quirky charm and mysterious ways, life together becomes a heartwarming adventure of friendship and shared seasons.

Docuseries Call Her Alex premieres June 10 on hulu. What does it take to become the most influential female podcaster of a generation? Following Alex Cooper as she prepares for her first tour, this compelling two-part documentary series traces Cooper’s evolution – from a self-conscious kid growing up in Pennsylvania to the voice behind “Call Her Daddy,” a podcast that redefined the conversation for women everywhere. Attack on London: Hunting The 7/7 Bombers premieres July 1 on Netflix. The series is the untold story of one of the most devastating terror attacks on British soil – and the three weeks of panic, paranoia, and manhunts that changed Britain. 20 years ago, four bombs exploded in London killing 52 people and injuring more than 700. This multi-perspective series will track the frenzied weeks that followed and the hunt to find those responsible. Featuring previously unseen archive and exclusive interviews with survivors, family members, investigators, intelligence services and those closest to the events, the series will reveal the shockwaves that followed the first explosions. As the county struggled to make sense of shocking and unprecedented events, the authorities raced against time to identify the bombers and stop further attacks. 

Trainwreck: Poop Cruise premieres June 24 on Netflix. It was supposed to be a luxury cruise: a four day round trip from Galveston, Texas to Cozumel, Mexico. But for the 4,000 passengers and crew on board, the reality proves catastrophically different. After an engine room fire destroys electrical cables supplying the entire ship, the boat is left drifting with no power for propulsion, refrigeration, lighting, air-conditioning or… worst of all, flushing toilets. Soon raw sewage leaks out all over the ship, food supplies start dwindling and passengers begin to revolt. As the cruise company races to control the fallout, a media frenzy ensues. Soon everyone is talking about ‘The Poop Cruise’. 

7 Bears premieres July 10 on Netflix. Seeking to be heroes, a clumsy troupe of bear siblings decide to help fairytale characters in need – but their good deeds often turn into disasters.
