Netflix has canceled Sweet Magnolias after five seasons. In the series, lifelong friends Maddie, Helen and Dana Sue lift each other up as they juggle relationships, family and careers in the small Southern town of Serenity. 

Following the cancellation of Sweet Magnolias, Netflix has ordered Ladies of the House to series. Based on Lauren Edmondson’s novel of the same name, the series reunites Sheryl J. Anderson with Sweet Magnolias star JoAnna Garcia Swisher. When a charismatic family winery owner dies unexpectedly, his wife and two adult daughters must battle through their issues with each other in order to confront challenges with the business, their extended family, and the men in their lives. Good friends and good wine will aid in the journey to hang on to the winery, but what matters most is that they find a way to hang on to each other. 

HBO has ordered The Spread starring Javier Bardem. Miami is turning paradise into power – Wall Street South – a subtropical collision of industry titans, elite hedge funds, staggering wealth, ruthless competition, sex, nightlife and fun on an industrial scale. Into this sun-soaked arena comes a visionary billionaire who collects the brilliant, the hungry and the dangerous, then turns their ambitions loose on the markets that power America. He chases something bigger: the power to shift the center of economic gravity to Miami – and decide how long the party lasts. 

The cast for the upcoming new season of The Traitors has been announced. Teen drama Coven Academy premieres October 1 on Freeform, next day on hulu and Disney+. In the haunted heart of New Orleans, the series follows three teenage witches and their dangerously charming warlock peers at an elite magic boarding school where power is currency, secrets are lethal and attraction is a liability. Caught between ancient supernatural wars and forbidden love interests, the coven must decide how far they’re willing to go to protect their city – and themselves. 

Chloe Sevigny has been cast in The Trial of Louise Woodward. Sevigny will play Elaine Whitfield Sharp, Louise’s defense attorney, in the HBO limited series. 

Netflix has ordered dark comedy series All the Rage to series. The half-hour dark revenge comedy is about Emma and Eli, old friends who reconnect after a long estrangement and find new purpose in taking down the man who tore them apart. 

Season three of Prime Video’s House of David will be its final season, completing David’s (Michael Iskander) transformation from outcast shepherd to fierce warrior to his ultimate destiny as King. But before the throne, there is exile. David is a hunted outlaw, forced to hide among his enemies and live yet another dangerous lie. This chapter explores the true cost of destiny – the betrayals endured, the identities shed, and the sacrifices demanded of a hero before he can rise to the throne. 

OWN has renewed Put a Ring On It: Cheathab for two seasons, greenlighting 16 additional episodes of the show that puts long-term couples rocked by infidelity to the ultimate test. Long-term couples whose relationships have been rocked by infidelity move into the “Cheathab House,” where they confront the betrayal, trust issues and unresolved questions threatening their futures. Under the guidance of master relationship coach Dr. Stacii Jae Johnson, the couples agree to face temptation head-on by dating other people, including former flings and past love interests who have jeopardized their relationships. As they navigate jealousy, heartbreak, difficult truths and unexpected connections, each couple must ultimately make a life-changing decision: finally “put a ring on it” or walk away for good. 

Production has begun on Paramount+’s limited series The Best of Us. The series is inspired by the David vs. Goliath fight that won justice for 9/11’s ailing heroes. Joining Jeremy Strong and previously announced cast Andrea Riseborough, Barry Pepper, Neal Huff, Gaby Hoffmann, and Sky Yang, are LaChanze, Richard Schiff, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Joe Morton,Jen Tullock, William Baldwin and Keith W. Richards. 

Andrés Cantor, one of the most recognizable voices in the history of soccer broadcasting, is joining the broadcast team for The FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 and the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 Final Draw. Both will stream LIVE exclusively on Netflix in the United States and Canada. Cantor’s unmistakable, extended-note “¡GOOOOL!” call has become synonymous with the sport for generations of fans in the U.S. Over a career spanning more than four decades, he has called the men’s and women’s World Cups and Olympic soccer tournaments, earning multiple Emmy Awards and a reputation as one of the most influential sports broadcasters in American media. He now brings that legacy to Netflix’s coverage of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027, joining a broadcast team that will be announced in full, ahead of the tournament. 

Love After Lockup: Relationship Rehab premieres October 2 on We TV. The nine-episode series gathers five fan-favorite couples from the Love After Lockup franchise as they embark on a transformative journey with psychiatrist and nationally recognized relationship expert, Dr. Ish Major, working to heal old wounds and rebuild their relationships.
