Susan Lucci to Host 'Deadly Affairs'

All My Children star Susan Lucci’s experience as Erica Kane will come in handy when she hosts Investigation Discovery’s new show Deadly Affairs this fall.

The Daytime Emmy winner will host and narrate ID’s newest series, which Lucci describes as “real-life soap,” explores real cases of bad romances resulting in crimes of passion.

“They are deceptive love relationships, love triangles and betrayal that have deadly consequences,” said Lucci. “And they end in tragedy. Every day you hear these stories and you think, ‘Oh, my goodness!’ Then they disappear. You don’t know what happened next, and you don’t know why they happened. I’m hoping that, in exploring them, we’ll shed some light on human nature.”

ID ordered a 10 episode season that begins production in March.
