From the red carpet at the 2014 Daytime Emmy Awards – Interview with Days of our Lives star Kate Mansi and Casey Moss.
TVSource Magazine’s West Coast Editor, William Dallman, attended the 41th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, CA. Days of our Lives stars Kate Mansi (Abigail) and Casey Moss (JJ) spoke with TVSource Magazine on the Daytime Emmy red carpet about their current storylines and their Emmy attire.
TVSource Magazine: How did you decide on your Emmy look?
Kate Mansi: One of my favorite photographers does a lot of androgynous ‘female in a man’s world’ style shots and it has always resonated with me. The suit, it was summer so I thought white would be appropriate. I checked in with Walter Mendez, who is a fabulous men’s suit designer, who also does women’s wear and he made it happen.
TVSource Magazine: What about you, Casey?
Casey Moss: I am very excited to be presenting tonight! I wanted to do something a little rocky and edgy, and my stylist Kim Appelt made it happen.
TVSource Magazine: Did you plan on matching?
Kate Mansi: Not at all! That is so funny. We were at my house getting ready together and when I saw him I said, “We are twins” [laughs]!
TVSource Magazine: What went through your mind when you learned Abgail and EJ would embark on a scandalous affair?
Kate Mansi: When I first read [the script], I thought I misread it! I was like, “What is happening?” I was a huge Sami and EJ fan as well. Then I realized all the nuances of the story and I just loved it. I loved working with Alison [Sweeney] and James [Scott].
TVSource Magazine: Casey, how are you able to relate to JJ?
Casey Moss: When I was younger I went through a lot of anger and turmoil like that, so I was able to go deep inside myself and bring that back out again. [Like] the bookstore scene, feeling all of that anger.
TVSource Magazine: How do you feel about him not being so angry now?
Casey Moss: There are [still] some shades to him, and I like that. They are also writing music into the show now.
TVSource Magazine: That must be cool, especially since you’re a musician and have a band yourself.
Casey Moss: Yeah, Eyes of One. We have a show coming up July 24 at the Whisky a Go Go in Hollywood with Fozzy.
TVSource Magazine: What can fans expect this summer with your characters?Casey Moss: This summer is going to take you for a ride. It kind of blew my mind.
Kate Mansi: Just wait! It gets twisted.

Abigail:
I used to love Abigail a lot because she is related to Maggie Horton until she had s** with EJ which EJ was with Sami never liked EJami too until Abigail did that. I hope when James Scott’s EJ leaves DAYS Abigail will turn her life around with Ben.
Ok now with JJ:
I never liked JJ and I will never like him too.
