Eden Riegel Returns; Tamara Braun Debuts!

A few weeks ago, Soap Opera Digest hinted of a beloved actress returning to her old stomping grounds this fall on All My Children. Fans speculated it could be Eden Riegel (Bianca), Julia Barr (Brooke), Cady McClain (Dixie) or Robin Christopher (Skye)….great guesses for fans wishing their return.
Eden Riegel, who fans loved as Bianca, the sweet daughter of drama queen Erica Kane, will return this October with a new girlfriend! Who is it you might ask? No one other than Tamara Braun!
Braun recently came off a stint on NBC’s Days of Our Lives as Ava, a woman from Steve’s past who brought a lot of drama to Salem. Braun is best known for her role as Carly Corinthos on General Hospital, a role she vacated in the spring of 2005. Tamara will play the role of Reese Williams, a "confident" and "successful" architect living in Paris with Bianca. Fans will surely want to know what happened to Binks’ previous love, Zoe, the transgendered rock star with whom Bianca left town with in 2006.
The casting of Braun is interesting, as fans have commented should Alicia Minshew (Kendall) depart AMC, Braun would be a good replacement (something TVGuide Canada’s Nelson Branco championed in one of his Suds Reports).
AMC’s new head scribe Charles Pratt promised a huge fall for fans of the show. "I am using fall to not throw the cards all over the floor, but to reshuffle the deck," Pratt said when speaking of what’s in store for AMC. "….and get them in the direction I want everybody to be going in-and under one big, catalytic umbrella."
Pratt’s already delivered on some of those promises, bringing back fan favorite Vincent Irizarry as Dr. David Hayward. Then there’s that tornado heading for Pine Valley…..Could Bianca’s return coincide with the aftermath of that tornado? Will a certain "babe" meet her maker next month? We definitely think that’s just cause for the return of David & Bianca.
Eden first airdate is Friday, October 17. Tamara will follow soon after on Thursday, October 30.
