Spike TV picks up football comedy starring Days of Our Lives’ Darin Brooks.
Days of Our Lives star Darin Brooks has scored – a new TV show that is. Earlier this year, the actor filmed the pilot for the football themed comedy, Blue Mountain State.
The series will focus on three incoming freshmen dealing with typical guy things – drinking, hazing, girls, and football. His co-stars include Sam Jones III (Smallville), Chris Romano, Ed Marinaro (former NFL running back), Gabrielle Dennis (The Game) and Alan Ritchson (Smallville).
It is unknown if Brooks will pull double duty or leave DAYS when his on-screen partner Rachel Melvin (Chelsea Brady) exits the serial. Max does have a lot more going on than Chelsea though, including juggling his job as the town bartender, dealing with troublesome sister Melanie, and maybe picking up the pieces of his ex-girlfriend Stephanie’s heart.
Blue Mountain State will begin its twelve episode first season this summer on Spike TV. Brian Robbins will produce the series.
