SONNY’S PLAN BACKFIRES
After the showdown with Sonny on Baker Street, Johnny arrives at the ER with a serious gunshot wound. While Johnny struggles in the ER, Sonny proclaims to Dante that he wanted peace, and convinces Dante that he shot his rival in self-defense. Jax cautions Claire about Sonny’s patterns with women. Ronnie pulls a fast one and tosses Johnny’s gun into the river. Ronnie arrests Sonny telling Dante that Sonny lied and Johnny was actually found unarmed. Sonny maintains his innocence and implores his firstborn to uncover the truth. Claire turns the tables on a stunned Diane and Sonny when she reveals her own evidence of recorded conversations in which Sonny planned to murder Johnny and then claim self-defense. While Johnny is in surgery, Lucky begins to question the facts in the case, namely the absence of Johnny’s gun. An unwavering Michael pleads his father’s case to both Jax and Dante. Ethan assures Kristina she is not to blame as she stands vigil outside the ICU after Johnny’s surgery. Sonny faces murder charges and is unable to get in touch with Jason. Sitting at Johnny’s bedside, Olivia begs Johnny to live so she can tell him how much she loves him and so they can be together. Dante tells Sonny that he believes his story. Diane hits a nerve as she berates Sonny for trusting Claire Walsh, causing Sonny to flash back to the time he discovered Brenda wearing a wire.
ROBIN LEARNS THE TRUTH
Patrick discovers his daughter Emma with Lisa back at his home. A delusional Lisa makes a veiled but very unsettling threat. Patrick and Robin confront Lisa for kidnapping Emma, but Lisa feigns innocence. Patrick finally confesses his infidelity with Lisa to a shattered Robin. Robin kicks Patrick out of their house. Lisa eavesdrops as Robin tells Maxie that she kicked Patrick out. Maxie advises Robin not to rush to judgment. Later, Maxie asks Lucky for help in digging up dirt on Lisa. A protective Robin sternly warns Lisa that if she comes near Emma again, she will kill her. Lisa approaches Lucky at the PCPD accusing Robin of threatening to kill her. Robin melts down on Patrick in front of everyone at the hospital. Patrick begs Robin to give him another chance, swearing he loves her – but Robin refuses to take him back. Lisa files a report with Lucky that Robin threatened to kill her, and claims that she believes her life is in danger. Later, Lisa mysteriously discovers her locker has been trashed and covered in blood. Lisa immediately blames Robin for trashing her locker. Robin and Patrick come to realize they are dealing with someone who is mentally deranged.
ELSEWHERE IN PORT CHARLES
Brenda refuses Franco’s art dealer Von Schlegel’s offer to be the face of Franco’s latest masterpiece. Jason helps rescue Sam from Lopez and his men, but the two hit a snag when a police officer stops them on the side of a dirt road. As Dante and Lulu are about to reconcile, Brook Lynn shows up insisting that just because Dante was drugged, it doesn’t discredit the fact that Dante truly wants her. Nikolas overhears Elizabeth admitting that she will always associate Wyndemere with betraying the love of her life. Brenda feels pressured to give Murphy an answer to his marriage proposal, but she remains noncommittal. Jason and Sam do their best to act their way out of getting arrested for carrying contraband. Lulu suggests they take a break, but Dante works hard to convince her otherwise. A selfless Nikolas arranges for Elizabeth’s sister, Sarah, to invite Elizabeth and the kids to come stay with her. Brenda recalls the time she and Sonny first made love. Lulu confronts Brook and warns her to stay away from Dante. Brenda accepts Murphy’s marriage proposal, and the happy couple make plans to return to Rome.
CAN’T MISS
As Johnny fights for his life, Sonny is arrested for attempted murder on Monday, August 23rd.
Sam twists her ankle and Jason carries her to a wooded campsite where they share a romantic evening by firelight on Tuesday, August 24th.
Michael discovers Carly is paying Brook to seduce Dante and confronts his cousin on Wednesday, August 25th.
Olivia begs Johnny to fight to live so she can tell him how much she loves him and so they can be together on Thursday, August 26th.
Lisa throws herself in front of Robin’s moving car, making it seem like Robin tried to run her over on Friday, August 27th.
COMING SOON
Sonny makes plans to flee to Rome. Lulu has a confrontation with Carly and is floored by her confession. Nikolas gets some advice from Robin. Tracy catches her granddaughter red handed! Will Brenda & Sonny finally come eye to eye? Jason assures Sam that she is the only one he loves.
