Australian soap star Ryan Johnson has been cast as a series regular on the USA Network legal drama Fairly Legal.

Johnson will play Ben Grogan, a driven, up-and-coming trial attorney who isn’t afraid of promoting himself if it means more money. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Ben isn’t concerned “with the right and wrongs of a situation as he is maximizing his financial gain. he isn’t afraid to speak the truth to power — or anyone else.”

After the series was renewed earlier this year, creator Michael Sardo stepped down as the showrunner and was replaced with Pushing Daisies executive producer Peter Ocko to fill the day-to-day duties for season two.
