The CW renewed three of its “on the bubble” dramas today, Gossip Girl, Hart of Dixie and Nikita. These are in addition to the dramas that received early renewals, The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural and 90210. The freshmen dramas Ringer and The Secret Circle have both been canceled.

Gossip Girl has been given a shortened-episode order for what will be its sixth and final season. The exact episode count has not been confirmed, but is being reported to be somewhere between 10 and 13. The show, starring Blake Lively and Leighton Meester as privileged New Yorkers plagued by a blogger who loves to cause trouble for them, has struggled with severely declining ratings over the past few seasons. The series was originally created by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage.

Hart of Dixie received a 22-episode order for what will be its second season. The drama stars Rachel Bilson as Zoe Hart, a New York surgeon forced to spend a year living in a quirky small town in Alabama working as a general practitioner so that she can learn to have a heart when it comes to her patients. Created by Leila Gerstein, the series also stars Jaime King, Wilson Bethel, Cress Williams and Scott Porter.

The spy drama Nikita, starring Maggie Q as the title character, has been given a third season, but an official episode count has not yet been confirmed. Nikita is a trained assassin working to stop a secret government agency called Division from turning teenagers into assassins like they did to her. Shane West, Lyndsy Fonseca and Melinda Clarke also star in the series created by Craig Silverstein.
