John Barrowman joins Arrow, Peter and Neal get a new boss on White Collar, 90210 adds an Olympian and more…
Torchwood and Doctor Who star John Barrowman has been cast in a recurring role on the CW’s Arrow. Ew.com was the first to report that the actor has signed on for a role that producers are being fairly tight-lipped about. Barrowman’s character is described as “a well-dressed man who is as mysterious as he is wealthy. He’s an acquaintance of the Queen family and a prominent figure in Starling City.” Barrowman will first appear in episode four of the new series. Arrow premieres on Wed. Oct. 10.
Emily Procter, best known for her role on CSI: Miami, is coming to USA’s White Collar for two episodes of Season 4. TV Guide.com broke the story that Procter will be the new head of the New York White Collar Division. Her character, Assistant Special Agent in Charge Amanda Calloway, will be brought in to keep Peter (Tim DeKay) and Neal (Matt Bomer) in line. White Collar airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. on the USA Network. A first airdate for Procter is not available at this time.
Swimmer Ryan Lochte, an 11-time Olympic medalist, has booked his first TV gig. TV Line reports that Lochte will play himself on an upcoming episode of the CW’s 90210. He will show up at the same resort Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) and Max (Josh Zuckerman) are staying at in an episode airing Oct. 29. 90210 begins its fifth season on Monday, Oct. 8.
TV Land’s The Exes is staging a Scrubs reunion. Zach Braff will guest star on the comedy that stars his former costar (and real life buddy) Donald Faison. Braff will appear in the Aug. 29th episode as Chuck Feeney, a pro-tennis player.
Fox’s The Mindy Project is adding a new love interest for its title character. Step Up Revolution star Tommy Dewey will play Josh Daniels, a successful lawyer, who takes an interest in Mindy (Mindy Kaling). No word yet on his first airdate. The Mindy Project premieres on Tues. Sept. 25.
Alan Dale (Lost, Once Upon a Time) has booked a multi-episode arc on TV Land’s Hot in Cleveland. Dale will play an Oscar winner who falls for Victoria (Wendie Malick) when they’re both cast in a Woody Allen movie together. The show kicks off its fourth season on Wed. Nov 28.
