Colton Haynes Exiting 'Teen Wolf'?

0

Is this real life? After starring as troubled hottie Jackson for two seasons on MTV’s “Teen Wolf,” Colton Haynes is departing the series amidst contractual issues.

US Weekly reports the actor was “forced out” by the show after they cut his episodes from 24 to 12. It’s not that he didn’t want to return because he did. It’s that the heads of the show wanted to limit him to only appearing on half the season — 12 episodes, not 24.” The network announced in July it was ordering a “super-sized” Season 3 with 24 episodes as opposed to the 12 in previous seasons.”

MTV denied US Weekly’s report, issuing the following statement: “Absolutely no truth that Colton is being pushed out or that he, or any cast member, is being replaced. We love Colton and look forward to his returning with the entire cast for season 3 of Teen Wolf.”

The actor issued a rather cryptic tweet this evening, but didn’t outright confirm he was exiting the show. Other outlets believe he’s referring to “Teen Wolf”.

Zap2it reports the network wanted to keep Haynes, but negotiations broke down over a salary dispute “despite a lucrative offer.” For more on Colton’s exit, including how Jackson almost didn’t survive the season two finale, visit Zap2It.

Until something more is official, we’ll just have to wait and see what happens. Teen Wolf just wouldn’t be the same without him.
