It looks like one of our favorite Emily Owens, M.D. doctors is trading in his scrubs to go work for the federal government. On Wednesday, Michael Rady signed on for CBS’s drama pilot Intelligence.
The pilot is centered at U.S. Cyber Command and focuses on a unit that has been created around one agent with a very special gift: a microchip has been implanted in his brain that allows him to access the entire electromagnetic spectrum. Like many of CBS’s successful shows, the drama will have a procedural element.
Rady will play a federal investigator named Jameson. Former Lost star Josh Holloway is also attached to the pilot; he will play Gabriel Black, a former NAVY Seal and dedicated intelligence officer.
If you’re keeping track (and why wouldn’t you be?), Rady is the third Emily Owens cast member to land a role in a pilot so far this season. Necar Zadegan signed on for the FOX drama Rake and Aja Naomi King joined the Amazon pilot, The Onion Presents: The News.
Along with his recent work on the gone-too-soon Emily Owens, Rady has appeared in House of Lies, The Mentalist and Melrose Place 2.0.
Very happy for Michael Rady. Will probably check out his new show. Not sure if it will be my cup of tea, but will try it out for Michael Rady. However, I am sad since this means there won’t ever be a revival of Emily Owens, M.D. :(
