Olga Fonda (How I Met Your Mother, Nikita) has been cast as Nadia, “a mysterious European beauty who follows Rebekah (Claire Holt) and Matt (Zach Roerig) back to Mystic Falls.” Sounds like their summer trip around the world might have been a little interesting. What kind of trouble do you think Nadia will be causing?

Kendrick Sampson joins the cast as Jesse, a student at Whitmore College.

Meanwhile, Sampson will play Jesse, a student at Whitmore College. He’ll meet Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Caroline (Candice Accola) during their first day at college, undoubtedly getting their freshman year off to an interesting start. Jesse will catch Caroline’s attention, but how will he feel about the paranormal aspect of her life?
