‘Reign’ Preview: A New Threat Forces Unlikely Allies Together

Since its pilot, Reign has warned that Mary will face dangers lurking around every corner of the castle. Last week, the young queen was threatened by the heretics in the woods, who were looking to even the score after Bash interrupted their sacrifice, not once, but twice. They demanded he fix it or they would make Mary their next offering.

Bash did what had to be done and now he has to live with his choices, but that doesn’t mean there will be smooth sailing ahead for anyone. When the series returns next week, a new threat will emerge when the castle is hijacked and Francis is taken prisoner.

“Left Behind” forces Mary and Queen Catherine to set aside the differences and put up a united front to save Francis. But who are these enemies and why have they targeted the prince? What will Mary and Catherine have to do to get him back? More importantly, is it the situation or something else, that has Francis kissing Mary, even though he said their hearts could not be trusted?
